Awesome! Glad to hear that this video was helpful. Make sure to check out Get Out Gear if you are looking for a more lightweight down option that comes in at a lower price point. Cheers

Anytime my friend! Just used this last week on a camping trip in place of a sleeping bag and it was nice. In the morning when it was cooler, it worked out like a puffy jacket until the temps warmed up. They have a special right now on their site for 25% off if you are interested. Thanks for watching and the support!

KOBE! I should have tried out for the Varsity basketball team but I was too busy hiking! Wish I would have picked up the Get Out Gear Blanket you reviewed a few weeks back. This thing is a beast at 2 pounds but it is able to be thrown in the wash which makes it a plus. Taking it out this weekend at FDR to use as my quilt for the weekend. See how that goes. Thanks for watching my friend!

You lost me at 2.1 pounds. Lol. Great review though. Your honesty is appreciated pal!!
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
Not the lightest by far! This is more of an all weather kind of blanket. I lie that i can just throw it in the wash more than anything. Down stuff take forever to clean and dry. I have a 1 pound quilt that I take on longer distance trails. This is something for shorter day hikes and or just chillin at the park. Thanks for watching my friend!
@BackpackingwithBuckley3 жыл бұрын
@@MetroOnTheMove it is a damn nice size! I like the design too. 2 lbs isn't too much for a short trip. I'm sure my first backpacking sleeping bag was at least 4! 🤣
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
@@BackpackingwithBuckley That is the problem with synthetic is that they weigh more and don't pack down as easy. I don't like to take the expensive ultralight stuff on every hike because I feel I wear the stuff out too quick and you have to be super careful not to mess it up. This is another piece of gear that i don't have to worry about on trail.

What temperature do you think this would be rated down to? Especially if you used it as a under quilt in a hammock.

Would not try and push this past 40 degrees at best. We were sharing it as a blanket at temps around that range on the mountain side and it was pretty drafty. Thanks for watching and the question!

Thank yo my friend! This is a great option as sub to a sleeping bag or quilt. Like the fact it is durable and be thrown in the wash with no effort to clean. Thanks for watching and the support!

So, it is warm or nah? Does it fit two people? Does it get wet if you sit on the ground?
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
Definitely warm! There is a one and two person blanket. We got the 1 and it works for us when we sit close together. It is water resistant but will eventually get wet if hit with a lot of moisture. Thanks for watching and the comment! Cheers

Do you think you can treat this with NikWax?
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
Nikwax has several products that they offer and to clean synthentics, you may want to use basewash. I used regular detergent to wash my Rumpl and it worked fine.

It rained all night and hiked out in the rain. My Lanshan felt like it weighed 50 lbs. Of course it quit raining when got back to the trailhead.
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
@@SeniorHiker77 Yikes! Bet that was fun having to dry out all the gear. The rain didn't hit Atlanta until 10 or so on Sat. Funny how that works with the rain stopping as soon as you hit the trailhead.
@SeniorHiker773 жыл бұрын
@@MetroOnTheMove you right it took a couple of days to dry out everything.
@MetroOnTheMove3 жыл бұрын
@@SeniorHiker77 I use a dehumidifier and hang all the stuff up in the bathroom. Helps to dry it out quickly without the musty smell. Just washed all the packs, quilts and rain gear with Nikwash. That was a full day experience but only took 1 day to dry out completely.
