Even viewers know at that valuation, getting a shark on board for less than 10% or 5%/royalty deal, wasn't going to happen. These replies understand he's got his $3.5 million in the bank ready to fulfill all the orders that come in after his infomercial. The guy's pretty slick, take a second look at what else he's doing. Companies go into the Shark tank because they need help, capital, funding. He's lazy. the only thing he lacked was exposure - and he got it for free, as most of you saw. The money in his bank account is giving him his valuation - his profit margin is terrible. There's nothing proprietary about his product. He is not innovative, unique nor special. that's why he's not touching the cash... It's keeping him solvent on paper. That's his entire value. He's demonstrated that his marketing skills stink. He doesn't have a patent. Once he spends that 3.5 million, he only gets 5% back? There you go... That's his true valuation. $175,000. The more he has, the more he can slime out of other investors. His reputation is not being built on his profit margin or his ability to sell quality blankets.. he's relying on his ability to skank money out of people and put it in the bank.. that's the most valuation of his company. Because his lack of marketing skills only brings back 5%. Hollow fiber fill sleeping bag blankets don't cost a hundred bucks. Bull crap. The zippers, hardware, sewing machines and labor because of them, cost the most on fiberfill sleeping bags. He's greasy.

He went in with a $15 million valuation when his only profit is 5% and annually he’s averaging 4 million when you take into account all years in business. He asked for a loan why would they give him any more if that’s all he’s asking. It was a fair deal that valued the company at 6 million. These blankets will go out of style. He doesn’t have a patent and there are 15 other companies with the same product. He was hoping to land Cuban with that “sporting license” excuse that’s why he jumped ship from the beginning..

First mark is a genius. He can always tell when someone is there just for the publicity. Second, yes it’s a smart business move as an entrepreneur to get on the show for the exposure. However, the reason it’s upsetting is bc it’s taking a spot from someone else who maybe sold their house, sold all their belongings and could really use a shark. That’s where ethics comes into play on this like they’re wasting air time for exposure that could’ve went to someone who really needed the investment

People don't realize going on the show is NOT FREE. My old company EcoBorder Landscape Edging were going to go on there. The owner and myself reviewed the contract and ABC/NBC (Forgot the actual Parent company that owns the show) takes 3-5% of your company to just go on the show, whether you get a deal or NOT!

@sarehgolestaneh53932 жыл бұрын
Ok but cotton is not necessarily better specially in this case, plastic is much lighter and more durable and doesn't absorb water and its doesn't catch fiber. Also you can add many properties to polyester fibers. So for this specific usage, plastic is actually better choice.
