Another great review! Regarding the story: you can kind of tell that this was my first serious work of fiction, and I've been learning as I go. There are so many things I'd change to make the story more engaging, the dialog less stilted, etc. ...If I had time. But there's also so much story still to come, and I need to keep working on that. The reason the mobile version came out first is because at the time, Kongregate was trying to break into the mobile market. Flash was more of an afterthought. And it's called "Run" to avoid confusion. In theory. We were worried that if we called it "Run 3," we'd be swamped with questions about what happened to the first two. In retrospect, it probably created more confusion than it solved. For the record, I 100% agree with you about the quality of mobile controls. We tried a bunch of stuff, and just couldn't find any better options. (Definitely found some worse options, though. Imagine shaking the phone to jump.) I have to admit, I'm conflicted about mobile ads. Besides being annoying, the ads that pay the best are almost by definition the shadiest. But they're also the vast majority of my income. Without them, I'd have had to abandon the series years ago, and take up a 9-to-5 job of some kind. (And I know it doesn't feel like it, but it's actually an 8 minute delay between ads. Which could have been worse. Kongregate crunched some numbers and told me to reduce it to 6, but I declined.) As for your comment that you'd spend $2 or $3 on an ad-free version, that's- oh wait, you addressed this at the end. Yeah, the thing you said is what we intended. I know it's been a while since the last stream, but I do plan to get back in the habit. Stay tuned! And finally, I can confirm that updates will be HTML5 only, but after (another) engine rebuild, it's looking a lot smoother and more stable than the rushed version that's currently out there.

Man, I remember back in middle school when a friend of mine introduced this game to me in the sixth grade on his phone. Of course, I would play the first game (not finish), play the second (finished with all orbs for Runner, almost completed all orbs with Skater since I liked a challenge)(took over a month due to only 20 minutes of playtime per day whenever I finished my work early in class), and that was it. But dang, this game was my favorite, and I would play it most of the time. And I preferred playing it on mobile compared to the computer one (because Flash was blocked on school computers and the only version to play was the web version on coolmathgames). Also because I played a long time on mobile to get used to the controls. I would say that I can play the game entirely in under a day if my phone does not lag or mess up. But its fun to play. Only thing frustrating were shop prices for characters, and I remember Student being much cheaper before she got raised in prices similar to that of the Angel's. I needed to play those other apps to unlock the 2 characters, and only characters I need to get now are Student and Angel. Sorry for the rambling, I just really love this game and hope its levels get extended and the story progresses. Have my progress saved on a Kongregate account, so that I can get back to it if the app ever updates.

honestly, this is probably the most comprehensive review of a flash game I felt like I was watching a video from someone with 100k+ subs. this is legit one of my favourite videos on the platform and imo should be shown to anyone who has any interest in Run 3 edit: also bunny is one of my favourite characters to control in any game

I think the mobile version is better personally. Even though just being called "Run." it still has many of the same things as the Flash version. There's actually 2 unused characters, the Climber, a female character who can grapple on to the platforms, and the ninja, a character with NO assets who has a charge jump. The climber was supposed to cost 8000 power cells, and she was going to be a outside of the box thinker. She has a yellow hat with a green stripe. As her behaviors are unfinished, as her design is a placeholder design, and her grappling hook is just a box. Her new design is going to be a character with a sci-fi grappling hook. The Ninja has no assets whatsoever, and his sprites just resort to Runner. It's unknown how Ninja would've been unlocked, as they have no data except for files. But the Climber is going to be in a new Run game coming on an unknown date, known as Run 4. We do not know if there will be any new characters in this new run game, but there may be MANY new characters to join the cast and maybe even expand the story even more.

About them all having the same model, the game pokes fun at this in a cutscene (I'm pretty sure it's the one where the runner and angel meet) the angel calls the runner beautiful and the runner is confused because every alien on the planet looks the same

Run 2 actually came/released first confirmed with CoolMathGames and Run came second that's why Run 2 doesn't have an html version (I think!).

When i played infinite mode on the html5 version of run 3 during Halloween and Christmas it didn't crash but it did crash on when i try to play infinite mode on the html5 version during Easter (even after Halloween of 2020)

The default version Flashpoint uses is the Coolmath version, which I guess doesn’t have the level editor. I checked the Unhacked Kongregate version, and saw the level editor was available in the shop.
