awesome! thanks for the vid! Like how you noted that when you X out the UI that it doesn't actually close blue iris, it will stay running once its setup as a service.

Joe, thanks for starting this channel! I've been thinking of switching to Blue Iris from my current 6 year old 16 channel NVR. Looking forward to your deep dive into setup/operation of the software.

I run mine as a service too! 100% nice that you can reboot the box and it runs with out you logging into windows and launching the software.. I ran mine in a VM it ran good, but now i have it on one of those Dell SFF with a 8 cor xeon and 32gigs ram..

Sir , on an individual cameras settings option , on the video tab for that camera , near the bottom of that menu there is a GPU setting option , and , the drop down has 8 choices , ranging from 0 to 7. I have searched the pdf file for blue iris current version , and , I can not determine what that setting is for. If you know what that option does , and , can share the information , I would be grateful. Thank you in advance. Mike

Can this run on my desktop computer I use for day to day tasks as long as it stays on? In other words does it need a dedicated stand alone system? Thanks
