I only say this because you said you were gonna walk through everything - why don't you start with how to add the camera so that the pan tilt and zoom works. Or maybe discuss why triggering isn't working. With this is a demo version, I'm using those are the features I need to know if they work or not. If they're not compatible with my camera, then your software does me no good. And unless I pay Blue Iris more money besides the $90 for the software, I get NO SUPPORT. OR very little.

I have been running zero tier IP address on my cell phone and home windows systems/BI with success. Its a bit tricky to set up and once an Zero TIer IP address is activated ZT is good . At times its takes a few attempts to establish initial zero tier IP but its good for the rest of time I'm using it remotely.

Love your videos. You make it easy and give reasons for why things work the way they do. Would you do a tutorial for Code Project AI. I am having a hard time with ALPR and other modules. I don't know what to put in for capturing. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't .

Just moved into a very rural area of Florida. My options were DSL at 10Mbps at $90.00 a month with a data cap, StarLink at $120 (or more) per month, or T-Mobile 5G for $50 a month unlimited. I found that I was very close to a T-Mobile tower and went for it. The problem, like others found, is that accessing my security cameras wasn't going to work with T-Mobile, until I found out about ZeroTier. Watching your video helped me get it all set up. I'm seeing some issues, but I know that's my own systems in need of tuning. My T-Mobile throughput is amazing on download (typically over 300Mbps) with uploading in the 20Mbps. I may need to tune down the quality of the cameras to improve throughput, but, it does work. I shut off the Wi-Fi, so the phone doesn't connect to the T-Mobile Wifi or to my LinkSys sub-Wifi router and I can see my cameras. Now the fun part, mounting the cameras! Thank you for the video.

Example, I set up the stream, view it for a few minutes, then come back in two days and watch it again, then come back a few days later and watch for a few minutes. This would be for a HOA where various residents want to watch the stream to check the parking lot activity.

So I have a weird issue. My honeywell thermostat wifi gets intercepted when I have BI web server configured for zerotier. When I point web server to my IP its a non issue. Whats weirder yet, is I have a honeywell wifi sat in my garage that doesn't have a remote gateway that doesn't share this issue. Only my home stat that connects via stand alone gateway (redlink).

apparently i have a lot of your videos to watch. i've been trying to get my blue iris squared away where it's actually running smooth. for some reason, only some of my cams will use the nvidia decoding. i have 10 cams i think and my i7-6700 with 16gb of ram stays pegged at roughly 100% and close to maxed memory. i'll be upgrading memory soon to hopefully help a little. i don't even have the software open most of the time. just the service running.

Awesome! You make it so easy and simple to understand. I am going to now try to set this up on my BI. I am able to port forward, but not able to access BI on my iPhone unless I am at home. I used to be able to make all this work well until my PCs crashed beyond recognition; it doesn't work well on the new PC at all. If I am able to do ZeroTier with the PC, it would bring the BI accessibility to a level of simplicity of operating a Mac. Thank you.

I followed the original method in the video and failed. I went to the camera settings, Audio tab. ticked 'enable audio channel'. Then went to Webcast tab. under 'Flash media Live encoding' tick box there is a drop down menu, make sure 'audio and video' option is selected. It's now up and running.

Absolutely brilliant tutorial, friend just received and setup starlink and blueiris wouldn't work, did an online search found this video watched 30 seconds and had the zerotier account created watched the rest of the video and created a network and blueiris working within 5 minutes, very happy :)

Hi……love your Blue Iris tutorials. My big question I have but cannot find the answer to is can I mix 4k security cameras with my normal 2k cameras. My restaurant security system is basically a 2k system but due to car break ins I am not able to see the license plate of the car that now follows another until the car they are after stops in front of our restaurant to eat. The thief then stops quickly perpendicular and a guy wearing a hood gets out and smashes the parked car and grabs the purse and gets back into his car for a quick hit and run. My security camera for parked car catches the action but the license plate is out of focus. So I would like to use a 4k camera to clearly see the plates. Is it possible with BlueIris or do I have change my whole system to 4k?

Does Blue Iris require communication with company servers to function? Can I block Blue Iris servers with my firewall and still retain all internet functionality?

Not great... just reads thru the menus, I can do that on my own. And too many references to... Ill make another video (and read those menu items later).

Easily followed all steps until last screen showing lan and wan settings in Blue iris web server. Not clear what goes where. Still can not connect with cellular device only wifi

so if the webhost (me) that has Blue Iris on pc and has all the cameras..is there an easy way without the need for a friend to have blue iris app nor the ZeroTier app on their mobile? just to check some camera? Prior of Zero Tier i had to give my Public IP (loging via UI3) but the problem was that the public IP was Changing all the time... thats why im trying now ZeroTier but the need to make them download an setup a program is a bit of a hassle specially cause the have zero skills to do so by themselfs

I do 3D printing and sales and a lot of the time my clients ask how does this work do you have video? So I have created two cameras dedicated to my two 3D printers. I want to do just this and create a link that I can put on my web site so folks can click it and watch it live. You have made this super easy for me to do now so thank you so much however my two cameras are within a group that i want to create a link for this group and share it out so when they click on it, they will see both cameras at the same time within two windows. So basically how i have it now, if someone ask to view them, i send them the web login details for this group only and they can then log in with username and password then it opens up with both printers running in. is this at all possible? Thank you very much. It has been a long road, trying out different brands of cameras and services. But having seen your videos and one other channel (where I decided on using an Amcrest turrett camera), I am now up and running, using Blue Iris, AND remotely viewing my cameras! Wow. No monthly subscription either! Sincere thanks for being a good teacher. You know not to talk too fast, you know how to explain this to people in simple terms. Much appreciated!
