Thats one clean engine bay ! interesting stuff ! I found by removing the winter throttle hoses and the AC on my 900 turbo convertible ( as I don't use the car in the winter ) improved performance and cooling so much ! thanks for these vids Lee et al!

Looking forward to the next video Lee. I happened to snag one of the T5 900 flywheels from eEuroparts before they ran out of stock so your upcoming video on covering to T5 is much anticipated. Any recommendations on Saab enthusiast clubs/meetups in the Midwest? I didn't find much in my search online

Lee you gotta see the Red SPG he built a while back with 17 inch Compomotive TH line wheels!! That car was Magnificent!! I have that red SAAB 900 saved on my homescreen background!!

Maybe someone already answered this but, where can I find The do88 intercooler and performance radiator for 87' Saab 900 Turbo in the US? Even better if it's central US. 🙏🙏🙏

I've not done business with them, but it appears these guys have DO88 parts for us: www.vivaperformance.com/ Put Google to work and I'm sure you can find others. The intercooler is a nice addition and I really like knowing my cooling system is reliable with their hoses and all-metal radiator. One less thing to worry about when my wife and I are blasting along hundreds of miles from home.

Hello there, i hope you can help me with this. my saab 900 Turbo (1992) has a diificult problem. somehow my saab is loosing very much water. when i saw it the first time, refilled the water till the mark, but after 2 days, the entire water tank was nearly empty again. i checked the spark-plugs, but they looked as they should, also the water doesnt look like its comming out of the engine.... even when changed the cooling temperatur sensor, there was no water coming out....so where should i look? or where could the problem be?

Start by putting a clean piece of cardboard or similar under the car to catch any drips. That will help. You can also get a dye at an auto parts store for your coolant that will glow in presence of an ultraviolet light source (cheap on Amazon). I'm suspecting a head gasket leak in which coolant is leaking into the cylinder and being burned away. Is there steam from your exhaust? You can also get a kit that will detect exhaust gas vapors in the coolant tank. Anyone else have a suggestion?

@@LeeKelso first, thanks for your help. no the inside of the engine looks how it should, the car was loosing water after i parked it after a long tour (700 km). then i recognize that the car was loosing water very fast all of a sudden....even the exhaust was looking good

No, you don't have to. I chose to remove the AC on my convertible because the top is almost always down. I now have their intercooler and radiator on my car and both are very high quality.

hi quick question i have a 1993 Saab 900i convertible what intercooler would fit also can you fit extractors to a 900i also what radiator are you running

I put your questions to Isak from DO88 and here is his response: A 900i, as in no turbo, does not use an intercooler. Its only purpose is to cool off the compressed air that the turbocharger (or compressor) is forcing to inte the engine. As far as extractor goes, or headers as some say, there are a few Swedish options that are popular for the Folkrace drivers. Like a scrap car challenge.
