Steven Tyler , famous/infamous Aerosmith front-man, and Joe Perry, lead guitar. Run-DMC, actually three : Joe "Run" Simmons, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, and Jason Mizell "Jam Master Jay". Both groups went through tough times with addiction etc. This video gave Aerosmith a boost into a new era, and Ru -DMC a cross-over hit. (🤣 And that's KITTY in the middle! 🤣)

Plenty by Aerosmith to get into. They were big in the 70s and then broke up and reformed and were down and out until this collaboration in 85/86. They blew up again in the late 80s and 90s. Now they are in their 70s, the band is going back on the tour one final time in 2024 and 2025. Songs: Dream On (MtV 10th anniversary show) Sweet emotion Love in an elevator Dude looks like a lady Rag doll Back in the saddle Walk this way (the original is their song from 1975, this one with run DMC is a remake/cover) That’s a good start but there are dozens more. Run DMC was 3 people - can't forget the dude on the turntables.... Can't believe you don't know who Run DMC is since they were the OG rappers and this song put hip hop on main stream radio. "Kitty" in the middle - See Saw Swinging with the boys in school and her feet flying up in the air...Sayin Hey diddle diddle with a kitty in the middle and swinging like she just don't care - use your imagination on what "kitty" is referring to. Lead singer of Aerosmith is Steven Tyler-complete rock star.

This was a true cultural reset. Back then most people picked one genre of music and stuck to it. I always hated that so when asked what kind of music I listen to, I said good😂

This was an Aerosmith song from 1976. This collab brought hip hop to mainstream (mtv) and also helped Aerosmith become relevant again, great reaction

Okay so hear me out: While you could go down the rabbit hole for either of these groups, maybe go down the rabbit hole of unlikely mash-ups/pairings? If you choose chaos, I highly suggest Public Enemy and Anthrax: Bring The Noise (official video). 12 year old me loved that shit. 💜

I know how you like to here people that are unknown and I have the perfect one. His videos are older now but he is one of the best I've ever heard and deserves recognition! Also EVERYONE that has heard his ish are begging for more... He needs a way to lose the day job and be able to focus solely on his music. Check out PREACHA! I think the video with the most views is The Box Remix but Dreamer and Good Die Young are two of my personal favorites.
