This anime really made me think about life, I ran cross country in high school and while I wasn’t the fastest I wasn’t bad by any means. But I kind of just gave up on running and stopped caring. This anime made me want to go up to my old high school self and slap him in the face for not caring enough and for not trying hard enough. This story may not be as action packed as Haikyuu or Kuroko’s but it focuses so well on the relationship one should have with the sport they care about it should definitely be in the conversation for one of the best sports anime of all time.

Ahh this definitely makes me want to try it out! I ran cross country in high school and I got to run a varsity race at least once which was a goal but I constantly got injured so I was always sitting out and it ruined my mindset for the entire sport.. I quit after my 3rd year because it was too much on my body (even now I still feel pain 3 years later) and it left me with only bad memories,, I feel like this anime will give me a new perspective on it and help me relieve some of those bad memories

This show is wildly inspirational. It's an anime I always go back to and rewatch before races. During my last marathon my boyfriend actually made a sign that said "THE MOUNTAINS OF HAKONE ARE THE STEEPEST IN THE WORLD!" to cheer me on and seeing it while I hit mile 26 was the most amazing feeling (I also managed to PR that race!). They really did my favorite sport justice. All of their struggles are unique and relatable. I also agree that the soundtrack is phenomenal and fits the more mature tone. Many of the tracks are staples on my training playlist.

As someone who runs cross country, I think that while Haikyuu perfectly captures what’s it’s like to be on a high school team, run with the wind perfectly captures the essence of going on long runs throughout the countryside. It’s just a really good show and I especially love the ending and how instead of just being a run, it caps off every characters arc and basically just gives everyone a couple minutes to monologue, which is such a good way to end a show.

As a cross country runner, I’ve never watched anything that embodies our sport as much as this anime. It shows the struggles that come w running, being on a team when the sport is about individual performance , and just the amazing feeling that comes with the sport. Cross Country/track isn’t as entertaining as other sports and people think it’s easy because “it’s just running”. But the anime shows that it’s easy more than that.

Now this is my top 3 anime on the hundred I've seen. it inspired me so hard that it changed my view on so many things, I decided to start running, I enjoyed it, I said yes to my friends for a basketball game wich I would never have said before and I even registered in a volleyball club. Finally someone made a video on run with the wind, watched it twice during my JEE prep. What a breath of fresh air it was. After all the hype and action, adventure anime came an anime that was just so calming and introspective. All the characters in the team are equally given time to develop and we see each point of view and each journey. More than the running and techniques it focussed on the ment states of the players. This anime helped me thru my JEE journey. Especially King who proved to me the importance of steady hardwork and not caring about what others think and Shindo for his hardwork and his display in the final race. I still listen to the osts whenever I'm going on a run or reading a book, the music is absolutely perfect. I thank u Harsh for making a video on this masterpiece of an anime.

Honestly, what I love most about this anime is how all the flaws feel so relatable. Overcoming addiction slowly, someone realising they're not special, a foreigner who doesn't fit with other overseas students. By using university students the sense of people in flux (even though they thought of themselves as now fixed in their ways) is much clearer than highschool anime.

Run with the Wind is my absolute favourite sports anime and I wholeheartedly agree, the soundtrack is top tier!! I run for exercise since I live near the hills and ironically, I hated it. Especially uphill runs. But ever since I discovered this anime, playing the songs while I run makes things way easier. I always set my phone to the second ED when I come to this particularly steep hill on my route.

For sure this is one of the best animes I've ever seen! My first 21K was during the emission of the anime, and at my training this was so inspirational for me. I lost my grandma in Jan of 2019, right by the end of the show. And I dedicated to her. Every chapter I was crying, and not only for sadness, but for every relatable aspect I found in the anime, my knees hurts me some times, and I have to stop the running, but once I feel recovered I can't stop. Without a doubt this one and Haikyuu are the most inspirational animes that I recommend to watch. Your videos are great, they makes me feel those moments again only with your review. THANKS A LOT! ♥

Everything about this anime just brings so many emotions. Even after years, this anime will stay in my heart! Also, I have a few anime suggestions: Welcome to the Ballroom (It's about ball dancing. It's very eye-catching due to unique art and I feel like it thoroughly explores a feeling of passion). Tsurune (It's about an archery club and it explores the idea of not being scared to try again and not being alone). Violet Evergarden (It's about an unemotional veteran teenager who is exploring the meaning of human emotions and values).

During high school, I ran cross country and it was definitely an experience but I can’t say it was a good one.. during freshman year I got a bad IT band injury so I couldn’t run for the entire season, but I didn’t let that stop me and I ran again after I finally recovered in time for league and city finals. My second year was better but I kept getting injuries such as typical shin splints and then during my 3rd year I accomplished my goal of running varsity at least once before I was injured again and my body wasn’t holding up. By the time of city finals, my body was so weak as well as my mindset. In cross country, the most important aspect is your mindset because it helps you continue to push yourself through a painful race. During that face at the last hill, I felt terrible and my legs were giving out and I just let myself fall on the ground and quit the race.. it may be one of my most embarrassing moments ever, because I probably could’ve kept running but instead I pretended to pass out because of the humiliation of running slow and the pain of my legs and lungs. After that year, I decided to quit but now I’m left with nothing but bad memories and every once in a while my legs start to hurt again, even 3 years later.. I feel like with this anime it might be able to help me get over a lot of these memories, because as you said in your review, “it’s all about the experience,” right? This video really resonated with me and it brought me to tears, so thank you for showing me this anime ❤️

@@HarshReviews I finally got around to finishing it! But wow, that was honestly a beautiful, emotional journey for me. I think the creator did an absolutely incredible job of displaying all of the emotions we feel when we run, especially in a really mental sport such as this one. I found myself sobbing during the final race and getting a look into everyone’s mindsets. The one that hit me the hardest was Shindo’s portion of the race because I could relate so much to that one moment because in my face my body was completely falling apart before it which really affected how my race turned out.. but a moment in that race that makes me feel so much better is the coach’s words, because I didn’t give up, instead I made sure that I was going to be okay and those are the words I felt like I needed to be able to move on from such a haunting experience. Haiji’s portion of the run was also incredible, the agony he was going through was something I felt so many times while I ran and even though it’s not smart to do, somethings pushing through that and finishing a run could make us feel so much better. Honestly, thank you so so much for introducing this show to me! 💕

well, i have an anime idea and it is just gonna be "the run of the mil, slice-of-life anime,". It is about a boy with no passion, almost no life, finally discovers his love for writing, he wants to be a managaka (manga artist), but the thing is he sucks at art, he takes art lessons and becomes good, and every couple of episodes he (in his mind) has to face with his self esteem vs his depression. I wonder, since my friends say it is lame, is it actually lame? (heavily inspired by blue period, pls make an episode about it : D)

I run cross country and I'm the best on our team now that the season ended. I'm not the best in my state but I'm not that bad, and watching this really made me strive to be better for our team, and I could really relate to this team, there not the best but there the top 10 team, and that's how we are were not the best but were a top 10 team. And our captain this year was a 3 time state qualifier and we placed 8th the year before the best my school has, and we graduated really good runners. So filling in there shoes was intense, and this show really made me relate to the runners, I'm new to running, like them. I don't like running but I do it for my captain like them.

Wow I love that! This is a great example of why this anime is quite realistic, especially when you mention the reason you run. Everyone runs for a different reason, like you said you don’t enjoy it, and that’s completely fine. That’s so crazy how close the similarities are, and best of luck my dude!
