UTMB ETC 2023 - RACE DAY! | Pushing hard in the mountains of Courmayeur, Italy | Run4Adventure

Having taken on several distances at UTMB week over the years, it was nice to be lining up on the start line of ETC with the route only being 15km in length. It was great to be invited along by the running brand ASICS to be part of their FujiTrail team for the event. I really did have an incredible time in the race and met some great people along the way, so sit back, put your feet up and enjoy coming along on my adventure as I run the ETC!

Another brilliantly filmed trail race Loyd. Stunning scenery & looked to be a race enjoyed by all who took part. A more manageable race such as this seems to be a really good option for those new to mountain running. Bravo well done. Look at all those happy people! Nothing beats the joy of finishing a race, no matter the distance and elevation. Love it And Loyd, did you notice that many op the to-runners ran with a belt and not a vest? 😉

Looked a really fun run Loyd. You definitely caught the atmosphere and chatted with some others who were really just enjoying the sport, mountains, being part of the community. Pity it didn't turn out to be a workout for your quads in preparation for Slovenia. Next time for sure. I'm already booked for Chamonix next year, shakeout run, and Moody's coffee await.

Anyone who have done the ETC…. I’m getting into trail running. I’m by no means a fast runner. I’ve been always inspired by utmb. Would it be crazy to do the etc without any experience?

The whole point of the ETC at UTMB is to attract runners that haven’t run in the mountains before. There was a lot of runners in the race with very little mountain experience 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
