RunCam Nano2 FPV Camera Review 📷

I'm thinking you may be onto something, I have two Runcam Nano 2's and three Caddx EOS 1's, but maybe its the age and abuse of my EOS1's but the Runcam Nano 2 seems to have a bit sharper image. I may have to refocus the EOS 1 cameras but color saturation and the way they both handle light changes lead be to believe Runcam is utilizing the same sensor. Thanks for the upload Albert it is nice to have a memory jogger that tells me I may already have what I want.

Have a Runcam Nano 2 that I bought to replace a Racer Nano that was just too crisp for my eyes. Curious to see how it looks. Definitely prefer the 2.1 FOV. Going to put it in my toothpick with a Runcam mini DVR. Thanks for sharing this footage.

@Andrew Fitch It's a matter of preference but I like the Runcam nano 1 or 2. The EOS2 has way too much red tint for me.

I just ordered the RC Racer nano to replace the EOS2 (the image is so red, I felt I flying on the mars). I like this Nano2 (especially the price) but with the Racer edition you can change the settings.

I too like the EOS 1 over both the EOS2 and the RunCam nano. Wouldn’t waste my money on either.

This explains a few things... I got the Diatone GTB339 which comes with this camera and I couldn't get the OSD to work. Turns out it was the NTSC/PAL setting - choosing Auto made it work. Maybe that would be obvious to people who had built a ton of quads but I never saw it before (all mine have been set to NTSC before this).

Yeah, must be. And if the camera settings can't be changed like you said, that's something to watch out for.

Hello cool video! Can I use the RunCam Nano2 to work with a 1s battery with 3.7V? And does the RunCam Nano2 come with a built-in antenna? Or do I have to buy the antenna separately? Can you please help me with this PS: Would the RunCam Nano2 work with Eachine 800DM glasses?

My main goggles are only 16:9. When I see the image through them, it seems distorted. But in my older googles that can switch to 4:3 it looks better. Is there a way to make it 16:9 by default?

Hi Albert I know this is an older video but this camera is the one that Eachine is using in their Cvatar 4s/6s model. I was wondering do you think it would be better to switch out that camera for a Caddx Tarsier or Runcam Hybrid 4k camera?

1.8 or 2.1 MM. Which is closest to the tinyhawk freestyles stock cam field of view ?? If u know... I can't find info on the stock TH freestyle cams FOV . Me ev800d goggles have a wide field of view,. I want to make sure the cam I get can fill up the goggles entire screen

Can you use the run cam nano 2 just as fpv to stick it on a rc car and have a little lipo battery to plug in it.

Hmm i was having trouble with my EOS but i'm not sure wether it's the cam or actually the VTX. I can see a piece from the top screen on the bottom like it rolled over or something, and the recording itself is way faster than normal i noticed. But it's weird because the live fpv feed is good ! So i tried my other quad and that seems ok in the dvr. screenshot dvr: ibb.co/gRMzRDN It seems like a 16:4 section with the bottom part filled up to get a 4:3 in total. But ofcourse changing from Auto to PAL/NTSC in Betaflight did nothing to solve it.

Hello Albert, maybe you can tell me how I get into the menu of the Runcam model Nano 2 to adjust the colors. The camera is built into my Diatone Tina Whoop and the colors are set too strong from the factory.

There is no way to adjust settings on the Nano2 cam.

I bought this fpv cam as replacement for my broken cam on the tinyhawk 2 but it came with the same plug as yours (male). i need the female plug that originally came with the nano 2 on my TH2... Anything i should know about before I start cutting, transfering the plug with wire and soldering it to my new nano 2?

As long as you solder it properly it will work. Just make sure you have the wire order correct on the connector so you don't short the camera and kill it.

Yes, 2s voltage will fry the camera.

No, this requires 5v. You'll need a BEC to transform the voltage down to 5v.

Total novice at this tech. Thought it was simple but apparently not. I purchased RunCam Nano 2 and the Runcam FPV DVR. Just wanted to record to SD Card. Connections are solid and all I get is a white video - no image. File is saved to SD card as an AVI file - but just white. Anyone have a clue what's going on? Folks at RunCam offer no support on this topic.
