If you haven't completely ignored farming, the best items for upgrading with for the level bonus alone are actually bags of turnip seeds. Cost 10g each, and you can buy unlimited amounts of them.

This guide is so helpful. My fiance and I get stuck at Rune Prana and can never finish Act 3. I've tried farming Plant Swords, shooting for rare drops, but this has proven the most helpful. I've gotten farther in Rune Prana then before and I'm gonna take some time to forge and upgrade skills

To anyone who is watching this video, if you're watching this video and you know a better or more efficient way to lvl forging/crafting or to gather materials easier or any other tip for beginners please comment on how to do so, the point of this video is to help people who got stuck at any point in the game because their equipment isn't up to snuff. (for me it was Fiergaenger the fire dragon) It took me a while to find the information when I got stuck but the first place I went to was KZbin to try and find info on it but it appeared to have no videos dedicated to it or at least none that gave me info on max leveling and overriding (I did eventually find a guide on GameFAQs but I learn better from watching. here is the link if you would rather read that. steen b I crafted the first shield and used Turnip Seeds to lv it to Lv 10. In 2-4 hours I reached lv 99 at Crafting and Forging. Easiest way and does not cost a lot.

+John E Boy lvl 99 craft / foraging is easy. Craft the weakest object and upgrade it with anything you have on possession, cans, boots, scrap metal, turnip seeds, you name it. I used Iron since I had a surplus (like 600) from my foraging runs. I like to use the air ship to start at summer field and walk all the way the place were you can get tree seeds by obsidian mansion. This way you also get wood / brick. I haven't finished year one, but have 3 fields right now and can house like 50 monsters lol.(later on in the game the best way to get wood / brick is to purchase them buy the thousands) For money either learn the ways of the farm (magnifying glass is a must) I haven't started to learn the farm yet / too confusing atm. OR get yourself some item spawning monsters. I've got 3 cows, 3 chickens, 3 hornets, and 3 bunnies. brush them every day to lvl their happiness and you'll get better / higher level drops. Egg + Milk = omelet. I'm collecting lvl 5 ingredients from my monsters right now and each omelet is worth about 1-2k apiece. From there put them in the shop box (and sell them individually) This works especially well on festivals.

Certain items will alter the way a weapon's charge attack will react. for example, using an arrowhead on a staff to raise its level will change the staff's charge shot into arrows being fired instead of say - a standard fireball charge from a flame staff. tho im uncertain what items do what effects in this matter for which weapons, perhaps you might have make a video in the future explaining these effects - as i feel it would help out players who wish to use staff weapons. i myself threw in a bunch of random objects nce, and had a sliver staff level ten who's charge was slow, but level one shot arrows, level two released a shock wave around my character that was similar to an axe's Charge attack, and its level 3 charge released butterflies all over the field that drained life from the targets they homed in on, while restoring my own health by equal parts. -- i'm pretty sure that last effect was from using ambrosia's thorns as the final item to upgrade the staff. and the arrows for charge one was from using an arrowhead on it, i was able to later confirm this much with another staff leveled using an arrowhead.

If I'm not mistaken the rarity levels work like the level system, but it uses the rarity value found on items. It adds an advantage to weapons that have an item type for crafting material instead of a specific item used. I'm not sure what the tiers or increases are though.

hey great guide :D im glad rf4 is getting a lot love. To anyone who find the whole crafting system a little more confusing.. you can always take the lazy way of finding a weapon in the sharance maze. by winning some contests or completing some requests u can get some pretty good armor thatll get you through at least 2 floors of sharance maze. check all the treasure boxes u can get to and sometimes you'll get a pretty strong weapon (some will even get you through rune prana if u tough it out) . if you dont find one... keep trying! crafting is still better but you know... whatever works!

What he doesn't tell you is that you need to upgrade the item you create to level up, well its the easiest way to at least. Use iron ore, its the most common and easily levels you up.

+Jeans Aznboy That one's pretty straight forward. To increase RP you need to level up your skills, you can also eat certain food items that will temporarily increase your maximum RP for a while. But (spoilers) I am going to make a video on how to maximize forging and crafting in under 6 hours in the first arc. the method I will be using in the video will not only increase those two to max but will also increase some other skills by a decent amount which in turn will increase your maximum RP by a significant amount. Idk maybe becuase I'm still like a lvl 38 maybe that's too low? I don't want it too low when I'm like very far into the game . so I can Craft \forge cook and upgrade with large amounts of rp.

RF3's upgrading system is simple and straight forward. There's no hidden bonuses for using higher level items, nor is there one for using rare materials. Overriding also does not exist. So while a "best weapon evah" in RF4 is a confusing mess to make mired in chains, inheritance, and an excessive amount of grinding, in RF3 it would be a simple matter of craft good weapon, farm 9 dragon scales, upgrade said weapon 9 times with said scales. Done. This could be good or bad depending on your preferences.

lol i didnt do this and rune prana was really easy for me all i did was go to sharance maze, get a monster friendly from there( Yes you can do this in RF4 but not RF3 for some reason) and use it to beat the shet of of everything else. Then i find the chest room, and repeat this until i find the pretty weapon/armor chests. Got Bazal Katar and Algernon from it

To get the max Stats on a Weapon or Armor, you need to use high Lv Items (Lv10) and rare Items like Boss Items with a Difficulty Lv 100. You should also use Ten Fold Steel, this item takes e.g the Atk from a Item (Item A with 100 Atk) x 8, so the 10 Fold Steel gives you a total of 800 Atk. After this, you should use another good Item like another Item with high Atk or Def and after this, use Double Fold Steel, this Item takes the Stats x 2. In this way, your Weapons or Armors have stats of a much higher Weapon or Armor. E.g the strongest Weapon of your has Stats like 500 Atk and 50 M.Atk. After you forged the Weapon like I said, the End Stats should be e g 2000+ Atk and 1000+ M.Atk. Hope I could help you and sry for my English.. :/ Reply if you have a question. :)

I've read somewhere that if you craft Happy Rings, level them to 10, use them in the crafting recipe of another Happy Ring, then repeat that process about 5 times, the rare item drop frequency will keep increasing to the point where you can get multiple rare item drops from a single enemy. Is that true? Also, if you use the max leveling system to add a bunch of levels to a piece of equipment, then use that piece of equipment in the crafting recipe of another piece of equipment, do the total levels from the first piece get added to the new piece, or does only the first piece's displayed level get added (e.g. you create a Broadsword with a Level 10 Iron Ore, then upgrade with 9 more Level 10 Iron Ores to get a total level of 110, then use that Broadsword in the crafting recipe of another Broadsword with another Level 10 Iron Ore; do you now have a broadsword with a total level of 21, or 121)?

That adds up to 38, so I can get the tier 1 bonus. BUT I CAN'T GET IT UNLESS I'M AT LEAST LV50 RIGHT? the new vest will have the base stats of the chain mail, including the psn resistence I had added onto the chain mail beforehand, correct? but not any added effects of prior overriding or tiers. did I get that?

+Madison Barber 1st Question: yes that is correct, you wont get the tier bonus from just having 38 but you can keep putting high level materials into the upgrading slots to get some of the tier bonuses and yes none of the bonuses will apply until your character (in this case) is level 50 in crafting. 2nd Question: yes the new armor will have the "BASE" stats of the chain mail but not the psn resistance since it never originally came from the chain mail, overriding will only work for one item and one item only, lets say i have a magical shield which give me 100% resistance to silence, and i wanted to override to put those stats onto the chaos shield. when i do the overriding process, the new chaos shield has the magic shields stats and resistances but no longer has the original stats of the chaos shield since it has been "overwritten" however, if i try to use the same shield i just made to make an even weaker shield then the new shield would have the stats of the chaos shield, the reason for this is because the game will only let you override the stats of an item "once" and if you try to override the same item again, it will just use the original stats of the item in question. thanks for the sub and I dont mind any questions about this game or any of them really, its one of the reasons i started making videos to begin with :)

I don't know about that. i think it's more that when i really get into something and run into a road block, I tend to do lots of research until I understand what it is that i need to do. in this case my road block happened to be the crafting/forging system.

+SuperNova If you mean starting the event then yes I do. what you are going to need to do is have amber and dylas at friendship level 7 to make this easier, once you have them both their, have them follow you then go to your bed and save it. after that keep going to sleep until they "Both" interrupt you. if they both do then that usually means that the memories event is about to occur. if not then soft reset and try again.

I'm really lousy at forging and crafting soo...I'm stuck at rune prana 6 with shitty gear and at lvl. 185...I enter the map and just get run over by monsters...And then I get to know that people beat rune prana at lvl. 130...I seriously need help...I'm watching every Tutorial I can find...but yeah... watched many times this video over and over and over again , and i still do not understand how u get better equipment. using stronger high stat item on lower one to override , but what the point? u can same way equip high stat shield as well. i feel like i dont get it at all

+ji ribu the whole purpose of overriding is to allow you to make "Perfect" equipment. its harder to find lvl 10 materials for higher lvl weapons than it is for lower level ones and by passing on the stats and effects of higher lvl weapons to a lower lvl one i can potentially make it stronger. I.E Fernier (Strongest fist weapon) has 12500 atck, i could spend my time trying to make a "Perfect" Fernier but that could potentially take days of grinding to get the supplies i need, or alternatively i could override a basic fist weapon that i already have lvl 10 materials for which would give it a higher boost in stats, in this case it would be around 13200 atck, along with that, i have more opportunities to give my weapon special properties because lower level weapons require less items to make them. but this guide is mostly centered towards weaker weapons because of the game difficulty curve. let me know if this helped :)

i was thinking that similar system exist in rf3 , that i play currently , from what i clearly know , is monstart always scale of your current level , so if u hit lvl 10k all mobs around u will get their stats boosted to same level , sadly code is limited to stats like 999 for player , but mobs surpass it , so fighting last boss on equal level would result u hiting him for 1s and 1HKO u. from what i remember the higher level ores u use the better tools weapons u get at rf3 , but this override system , does not seems to me like something new , because i "accidely" did something wrong in rf3 and i got very strange item.

honestly, grinding mining is straight forward and pretty slow. first, get a heart pendant so that all skills increase faster. second, use the airship to fly to places with rocks and ores right next to the save points. thats about it, even in my main profile i dont think my mining skill has hit 99.

I DONT GET ITTT!! All those tiers right...well next to tier 1 you put 30lvs, what does that mean? Does that means that you only get 10atk when u reach lv30 or every time u level up (lv1until30) you get 10atk for every lv??? And u said they are not cumulative so what does that mean? Its all so confusing! >

tiers have to do with WEAPON levels, a weapon can only get to level 10 on its own by putting 9 items into upgrading it. but the levels of the items you put into it adds to the total level of the weapon, so if i put 3 level 10 sticks into a short sword then i would get the tier 2 bonus because the weapon would be level 33

Soraya Alhady the important thing to remember about this is that when trying to get tiers, only the "level" of items you put into the weapon or armor is important. also the weapon your upgrading counts towards the total amount of levels ( putting 3 items into a sword makes " the sword" level 4 + the level of the items put into it.). I think I go more into this explanation in the overriding video but just try and put as many high level basic items into upgrading as you can to get the best bonus

If you are going throught the 3rd arc. This tutorial becomes useless. By the time you get there, literally any weapon you managed to create from the drops of that place becomes stronger by +800atk according to the level of the weapon. Is easier to put some status atk onto your weapon that searching for level 10 items to be able to get the tier 5 bonuses.

Yes but this tutorial isnt for people who are starting the third arc, its for starting the second. The rarity forging tutorial is more for the third arc than anything.

@@GreenSpyro I like the fact that it goes into more detail about the earth mates role in all this and thought it was clever that the earth mate who is narrating the whole thing is either lest or Frey depending on which gender you are. I have mixed feelings on the fact that venti is revived, on one hand I'm a sucker for happy endings but on the other, I wish more story was told in the third act and felt it was kinda just a "yay you did it and now she's back" I'm happy with the difficulty of it though, that was nice.

Does it not work?" i literally went back, sleep to see if something happened, came back with a couple of the earthmates to see if something changed, equipped and unequiped venti charm. Then i come back and find venti, like "Yo, now im alive" in the most anticlimatic way possible. Like, DUDE!, at least give something tear-jerking. A party or something, i'll rather not have the option at all of saving her if this is how it ends. And for some reason i kinda hoped for the human form of her being the "reincarnation" that i thought was going to happen.
