Sweet start! If anyone's looking for a similar f2p start, vampire slayer gives 1-20 attack and is completeable with strike spells from a safe spot or simply with fire strike and food. Also addy sword is superior dps to a longsword :)

You can do get the dragon spear with no Legend's quest, but only for rare drop table and not with the gem drop table. Liked the series, keep going!
