I think the fishing one looks the best because of how the bottom shows the depth of the ocean rising up to a geyser above water. I'd redesign the cooking cape to be similar with a wheat field/vegetables at the bottom evolving into a finished plated dish on top with the emblem being a chefs hat.

A cape just makes sense, because you can show it off like other gear Another game that does something like this cape visual progression is the game Journey. Each time you complete the game your robe pattern becomes more elaborate, and when you find all the secrets in the game your robe turns from a red/orange hue to white. This is nice not just in showing that you have earned certain things but because the game has random match-ups with one or more other players as you play, makes your skill level clear to the other player. Not that there are many who play the game much anymore, but often experienced players will help out new players and the robe design/color is a good way to know your game partner's experience level

Yes its balance between grind, fun and feeling earned really. I think something is going to feel earned in a MMORPG then it does have to feel like a bit of a grind but not overly grindy should respect people's time.

A section is within a sector. Which is an area. Which that was said as a comment. This game might do well. To me its somewhat stupid to go for another game that might do worse. How about that Runescape gets better. Not concentrating on a new game. I am not familiar to a new game that seems worse. By seeing some of the game play that will resemble Runescape. These are the graphics that could be in Rs3 or Rs4. With all that detail and placements. If this new game is much better than Runescape? Would Runescape just die off?

Think enough gamers are about that both RS and Brighter Shores could be successful. Plus, you'll probably have a portion of the playerbase that plays both at the same time anyway.

Cool ideas, but to me, they look overdesigned. I just much prefer the simplicity and base design of the OSRS skillcapes.

Yeah it's a valid opinion can see why people would feel that way, I just think with the skillcapes getting longer as you level they want to show a noticeable change at each stage and that correlates with the design

I enjoy OSRS but yes hopefully this game is a breath of fresh air
