Not a fan of pvp interupting regular gameplay it should be completly seperate in its own area that us pve players never need to see. Having pvp battles going on when im trying to skill or quest around me is going to get annoying real fast.

nahhh thats what made Runescape Classic the best, it didn't give you auto anything. I like the way it is now, and changing that will effect the hardcore players.

When he says he is very busy at the moment what he means is the top 10 forager leaderboard need tending too hahaha As for the leaderboard sniping, if they wanna be hidden, then have them permanently opt out of leaderboards instead of being able to freely opt in and out whenever they choose. I dont see why you would want to have your name hidden when you can make your name anything, no way anybody can tell who you are if you choose so with a random name. The systems only helps bots and people who wanna do shady shit in the game. I've had people say streamers might want to hide their name in game and its like guys come on, the game has a tiny player base and the top streamers even in runescape only get like 100 viewers, its not even an issue for streamers of these kinds of games at all, that's just streamers wanting to pretend it's an issue to give self importance where it doesn't exist. Wanting to be in the public eye and famous (the only goal of streaming) then wanting a feature added just for you to hide from the consequences of what you chose to pursue? I'd understand it if the feature didn't damage the integrity of the game in any way for everyone else.

"challenge people anywhere" thats basicly just dueling. I think you didn't think this straight if it's dueling with a stake system why would there ever be a OPT in system? That makes no sense. anyways if that's the case the game won't have any good pvp. Which means pvp players won't play. Le'ts hope this is not the case.

Positive responses overall though I wish somebody asked (and that Fen Research would answer) a question regarding what, in my opinion at least, is one of the most important issues in the game is right now which is the gameplay loop and how seemingly pointless it feels when it comes to training skills and using one to affect the others. Compared to RuneScape which had me doing some pretty cool exploration and feeling very driven when it came to utilising the many skills that it had, even in the F2P areas of Gielinor. In Brighter Shores I don't feel at all like an adventurer nor do I feel like i'm going anywhere in terms of character development (due to how the skills work). I feel like i'm doing things "just because". A huge shame because Brighter Shores has loads of potential and already has some pretty good ideas inside it. I just wish I felt like it mattered when I tried to engage with it.

I read the AMA and im excited to see how they change the combat progression. If it's good i might start playing this game again and actually sub.

I wish this game to be good because why not , but it's not i don't know why he deicde to relase this early gameplay to people , after what i played for 15hours tried to give it chance , im not going to go back to this game never it just pushed me back , keep staying in 3 locations to fish to fight to do anything its just ugly design also all leveling feels so dull and empty leveling up for nothing basicly bc you going to stay in few locstions even if you 300 fishing fish just change color 😅

To me this is basically how RuneScape began, I can already feel the og RuneScape vibe in this game, this is basically RuneScape with better crafting, people didn’t realize combat on og rs didn’t have bosses and all that, Andrew is redoing everything in a modern way, one issue I do have is gear, I like the system osrs has where gear stays valuable and can be used anytime by anyone, I’m worried we won’t get gear like this from bosses as it will always scale up levels ans become useless.

I didnt see any mention of andrew saying they are planning on overhauling combat completely and they are planning on removing the need for multiple combat skills. Here is andrews quote from the ama "think we have now come up with a way of avoiding needing a separate combat profession per episode AND avoiding the problems I described which caused us to implement it this way in the first place. " This is the biggest W of the ama in my opinion and is what drove off 85% of the playerbase. I'm loving the game and have already clocked 300+ hours but this is such a huge deal! They even mentioned that it was one of the top priorites when it comes to the combat changes.

I know theres some afk stuff in the game but most of it feels like molasses to train and is pretty miserable. Fishing needs more of a middle ground. Maybe some other skills too but genuinely havent trained outside of lil cooking fishing and combat so idk the full extent of it. It just doesnt feel the greatest.

So excited for the future of this game! I'm doing my overnight afk training on foraging so I'm closer when they finally implement the monument reward. Personally, I was and still am hoping for several medium tier rewards along the way to the actual finish at 490. Seems like we deserve something for 200 at least.

The fact that they accepted that need to hire and also the fact that current gameplay is bad make me very optimistic. It's kind of like PoE2, very high quality deliverable but with imho shallow gameplay quality.

Firstly.... I absolutely love ❤️ the game. Being a senior citizen the one thing I would like to see happen is a way to search the world map and possibly a way to drop trail markers . At this point in time the vastness of the world is overwhelming. Also if in the future a kill counter is added for bossing a death counter should also be added. I trust Andrew and Paul to do the right thing.

I really like how they're addressing mediumcore content but PLEASE for the love of GOD do not go the route Runescape went and make it the best. Mediumcore content should be the least viable option always, otherwise it overshadows active play big time. If they put the viability at the low end of 25% between passive and active, I think that would be perfectly reasonable.
