Awesome! I used to do my weekly run together with a horse because the horse was already quite old (around 23) she had the same speed as me. Best training partner I have ever had

I tried that, too, because I used to ride a pretty lazy horse. But, outside on runs he rediscovered that he was only 5 years old, so he was way too fast for me :D

I take my horse on runs with me occasionally, if I need to run but also need to get him out as well. It's a good change of pace and something fun to do with him besides just riding.

I did this sort of thing with my sister and her horse while I ran on a trail near Vancouver, Canada. What a fun time! This was a great idea by you folks and brought back really fond memories. Thanks for doing this Mark and Heather!😁

lovely challenge, now you know what the 'main events' like over a longer distance, Man....can be equal to horse if ground conditions dictate.....mind you did a lot more walking than I did on my MvH this year! Brilliant video clip....and hats off to Mark for the challenge. Love the Chestnut Franklee, good lad!

I did it twice about 30 years ago. Both on a mountain bike, which were then included. It was dispiriting when the runners came plodding past you as you struggled dragging your bike through the muddy sections, or just steep uphills.

It's great for your core and bike legs but you'll still need a lot of tri training I'm afraid.

This would be much more interesting challenge with proper distances: 100 miles. Same route for both, so only endurance would matter. The course, of course, should be rideable the whole way.
