Mary, despite the disappointment at Boston, I knew you’d absolutely smash it at Chicago. You had a good result on a hot and hilly course so going to a flat race with better weather would be a recipe for incredible success. So happy for you Mary and amazed at what both of you did. It was a great day for a marathon and I felt great at the start, but some idiot (me) decided to run 7 marathons this year to celebrate her 70th trip around the Sun, and Chicago was my 6th of the year and 3rd in a month (Sydney, Berlin, Chicago). So....predictably I was on the strugglebus by the end. I can definitely see how it was a great day for so many and look forward to seeing the "how did we do it" video. Congratulations!

Well done Mary, having seen Ben’s amazing run and now yours I am so pleased for you both. Having listened to Ben’s analysis and changes to the build for this race the one thing I think he missed about why you have both run so well is (I think I’m right) is not doing the greeting run the day before where you lose so much energy greeting people and getting over excited therefore over hyping, so arriving with limited time to spare before the race probably also went along way to those 2 pb’s. Brilliant runs, brilliant couple and every success for the future.

Great to see you run with a smile on your face. Superb time from you too. I'm a bit similar to yourself, I've run 2 marathons, Frankfort in 2022 (3hrs 23) and Dublin last year in 3:19:30. I was supposed to be doing Valencia in December and looking to do 3:15 but I have just cancelled my ticket as I've been suffering with my vertigo for the last 7 or 8 weeks and I've missed too much training to do myself any justice. Going to give my next one a real good go and try and do 3:10 if I stay healthy. I'm 55 so haven't got many good times left in me😊 Keep smiling and enjoy your running 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃‍♂️💃🕺
