Liron, I have been watching your videos and bought your courses and books quite a while ago. I come and go but always come back to you. There is so much out there right now online. Every business has suffered from this. You are so genuine and have such heart you will alwaus shine about the rest. Thank you for being there and keep on doing what you do. I wish you every success. Keep loving.

I totally agree. It's like investing in a 401K and riding out the market with it's ups and downs. That being said I'm getting ready to set up at an outdoor art market today and am hoping to sell down more of my inventory of original watercolor art. Many are smalls and I'm focused on selling them and sets the prices to be very reasonable given the economy. I find my larger pieces 11 x 15 or 16 x 20 don't sell this year like they did last year. Hoping for a good market. I also teach beginning watercolor a few times a year at a local center for the arts. Plus I'm not painting as prolific as I once did as I'm exploring many other mediums and I'm retired, so income is not an issue.

Good luck for many sales today! 🙏🏻 My shows are all in the fall. I need to make some smaller pieces for people to buy. It’s good to have several price points.

That is awesome! By the way - art markets / fairs are EXACTLY the type of activity I heard many artists find success with. Especially in 2023-2024. Hope you'll have a great one 😁👏

I've been recoving from two major surgeries. I haven't painted in quite a while. However, I try not to miss any of your videos. I often watch the replays.

Ahhh thanks so much Liron for this motivational video. This was exactly what I needed to hear today, especially since I am a baby/new KZbin artist creator myself. I am getting ready to work on a new project/course to have ready to sell later this year & building up my audience. I really appreciate your insight & thought that there was a slow down in viewings & how things were going overall but I am not too worried about it. I am glad to know that this is just the normal ebb & flow. Have a great weekend!

This year was the first year I entered our county fair and I happen to win my very first ribbon (for anything) with one of my paintings. It was a third place ribbon in watercolor painting and I’m thrilled so I’d say it was a pretty darn good year for me.

I don't think it's just Art, Liron. I'm a musician and my first two releases sold out in two days but my third release which came out post covid did not sell very well at all. I think its an economic issue as well as people just aren't as bothered about stuff anymore.
@LironYan5 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s a lot of factors… But I definitely see this improving once the economy strengthens a bit, so keep at it! (:

Thank you so much LiRon! This video is helpful on so many levels. It’s funny because I just did a video asking if I’m crazy. lol 😂 Mostly for sharing my inexperience live. I do think the social media beast is growing rapidly and a lot of new artists are sharing their talent on different platforms. Maybe you can get 1000 views or more and no comments or you get a lot of comments and no likes. Or (like a new artist I follow who has less than 10k subscribers) had a bunch of hate comments on her videos. Like an attack. I’m somewhat addicted to “scrolling” and I know God is asking me to put my phone down and go paint. It’s so hard to because I love watching videos like this and other artists. I love to support them however I can. But I need to spend time in person with people. So thank you for your insight. It’s very encouraging and you are a blessing to my art journey. I am preparing for a class I’m teaching tomorrow but I really need to market it more. I don’t focus much on that. 😢I got a few books on it and watched some videos but it’s not fun to do. lol that’s probably the issue for me. I thank God for the growth in my customers and commissions. I pray that my artwork touches lives and brings joy to people. Have a blessed day! 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you so much my friend 😊🙏 I'm sure it'll be a wonderful class with great attendance! If not this specific one, the attendance will be built with time. I think marketing, promotion and sales often go directly against an artist's spirit. It's our nature to place a lot of the onus on the art, and it can almost feel degrading to the art to try and push it and sell it. But one thing to understand is that marketing is more about simply placing the art (or art product for that matter - whether a class or something else) in front of more eyes, and THEN letting the ART sell itself. Hope that makes sense (:
@stampinturtles5 ай бұрын
@@LironYan so true! I rather spend time painting than marketing. But I’ve heard that getting an agent can suck the life out of your soul. I suppose it depends on the agent. But for me I will continue to share my art and pray 🙏🏻. Last month my class was very popular. I had to do a 2nd class. Let’s hope for this one to fill up too. I think attitude and mindset is important. The more positive you are the more you will see success.
