I am in the same situation when it comes to lifting. I was lifting 4-5 a week, but I ramped up my marathon training. Getting into the gym has been challenging with the increased miles and working a 9-5. Shawn said it perfectly: I had to put my ego aside and realize the workload had shifted, and that's okay. Great video!
@marcusmilione19 ай бұрын
It can be a hard transition to make. Ultimately there is an inflection point where speed / size work against each other. I guess it's about finding where that is and then deciding which you prioritize more in the immediate future

I really like the dialog regarding the mental aspects between running and lifting, as a highschool hurdler I find a lot of inner competition to get bigger and stronger but also working towards getting faster. But in becoming a faster hurdler I’ve had to dial back on lifting upper body a lot in order to get leaner. 100% love this team brand and identity that’s been Minted New York has brought. For the past two years my favorite pair of shorts are the original mesh yellow shorts and the black running shorts, also a lot of great runs and lifts with the OG quarter zips!
