The hand-drawn art style of retro anime is beautiful! I wish more people appreciated it.

I saw this first in NYC, years ago.... on Nippon Television, it ran late at night and most Americans back then were not familiar with, OR interested in anime style cartoon shows. It won my heart immediately because I love so much of Japanese culture and, always have. I am now 74, and STILL can watch these and love Tetsuro's space-train adventures....

I love hearing these classic seiyuu in their youth and prime. Masako Ikeda's voice being perfect for a classic Matsumoto goddess

The voice acting of this era was just so beautiful. Every word just hits so heavy and it's filled with so much gleaming hope. No anime is like this anymore. And no dub could touch this ever. Wish I could rewind my time to when I was more innocent and relive these first experiences.

I'm not gonna lie, the dubs of this do a pretty good job.

I’m surprised that this anime was given a shoutout in ‘Stranger Things’. It’s amazing seeing Galaxy Express 999 getting recognition.

I swear these "relatable" titles from this channel are not that funny, that they are so consistent for it. He's not running away from his problems. He's getting on the train to find the guy who killed his mother. Talk about a poor way of click baiting if that's the case.
@TheTongueofRa Жыл бұрын
The title still works. Yes he "wants" to take revenge on the guy who killed his mother and get a machine body, but as a character he also "needs" to move on with his life and enjoy life.
@raulbetancourt579521 күн бұрын
It still does apply somewhat, because he also needs to learn to move on which he didnt want to accept that much.
@jhonnymark758121 күн бұрын
@ The movie wouldn’t be as good with the whole “revenge is not the answer” line. I’m glad they didn’t do that.

Galaxy Railways is different in many ways from Express 999. Though Galaxy Express 999 has many alterations in of itself. So you can say that each Galaxy Express 999 is a bit to widely different then the other Express 999.
