Happy Birthday to you, Charity! I think you're doing a wonderful job organizing things in a smaller space. It can be hard! When we moved to our current house, it was half the size of our previous one. It took several months to get rid of things and figure out what was going to work where we are. It's been ten years now and I love the space we have! We make it work for us. Thanks for sharing your vlogs with us!

I have problems with collecting things and have clutter and have problems keeping things neat! It’s hard for me to get rid of things! I hope I can work on this in 2025 little at a time for sure I get overwhelmed easily! I’m glad you show real life and not some of those fake channels where everything is perfect and nothing is real!

When you have a smaller space (coming from someone who also lives in a small home) without proper systems/ storage things can get messy or cluttered quickly. And it can sometimes feel like a never ending battle. It’s easy to say someone has too much stuff but it’s all relative to the space they are living in. Too much stuff in a small home but put that same stuff into one of these “perfect homes” and the space looks completely empty. So it’s easy to say they have these “perfect homes”. Also remember you are only seeing what the camera wants you to see. They could very easily have a “mess” behind the camera.

Absolutely! That's part of why I have such a hard time with decluttering because we are hoping to move into a bigger place soonish. It just seems counter productive to get rid of a ton of stuff and then have to rebuy it all later when we get a bigger place!

@ we have the same issue. I’ve decluttered a lot of things so basically my stuff is mostly resource material (I write), kitchen items, camera gear, family photos, some music and a few books on my current TBR and a guitar. We are conscious of not bringing anything into the home now without a place it can be stored and a specific use.

Happy belated birthday. Just a gentle suggestion--when you're videoing yourself talking at home, if you could prop your phone/camera against something so there isn't so much shaking, that would be wonderful. 🙂

I will try to do that! I don't have an actual video camera and have to use my big camera that I use for my photoshoots which is very heavy and can make it hard to hold. I'll have to find something to prop it up with.
