Does anterior pelvic tilt affect vertical jump? I am a volleyball player and I have APT because I was a sprinter before. I've noticed that my jumping remained plateau around 30 inch, is it due to APT?

Are weak glutes the cause of this and does that also lead to an over stretched hamstring which causes it to be super tight? I think I have this problem. Thank you so much for the video!

Should you take a break from distanxe running to correct this? Or can anterior pelvic tilt be corrected while maintaining mileage? I've read that running with apt affirms the wrong position, so I would love to hear your thoughts on this

Can sprinter also have a neutral position? Or is this only possible for distance running?
@JPGloria5 жыл бұрын
Ahh, its possible, but dont get caught up in pelvic position...there are more important things to focus on. However, these exercises will help sprinters as this will improve trunk stability, which optimizes force output from the legs...which translates to running faster

I guess every single world class sprinter in history has/had poor core/trunk control!
@JPGloria5 жыл бұрын
Ive watched and worked with world class sprinters and I agree they have increased tilt during a true sprint. That's why I said "distance runner" and said it's not necessarily bad. It all depends on context. Great point though

That pushup position is wrong. The butt should be down so the body is in a straight line from shoulders to feet.
