Nice! I have a tough time with these.. so darn hard.. I'd get headaches and nausea. 30 seconds x 6 . I might have been pushing too hard... also, You may have mentioned it but do you do those once a week? or more? thanks

@@tri0xin I never mentioned i don’t think but have in other videos, i do similar training once a week but not always hills, sometimes i do 400m repeats at a track, or will just do 1km repeats where i do my 5k time then 1km at zone 2 and repeat for 6-10 times thanks for watching 👍

Quick question...for a beginner would a 5k warm up be too much if your then proceeding to do 4-6 hill sprints.
@BLMR_FITNESS6 күн бұрын
@@luciferdracul7320 Yeah think i said at the beginning 3-5k warm up but if I haven’t i’m sorry i missed it, the aim of the hills is not as fast as possible just a little above your 5k pace now, if you keep doing them you will notice your 5k pace dropping on normal runs and you can increase the reps/pace of the hills hope it helps let me know if you need anymore info 👍

@@BLMR_FITNESSappreciate your reply, yeah you did say 3/5k 👍, I've just returned to running & recently completed 5k (pleased with sub 29min) I do find my speed has significantly dropped but fairly consistent with pace, for me I find my lungs are fairly good but do suffer with heavy legs would the hill repeats work & any other methods that can improve this. Great content by the way you have yourself a new subscriber 👍.

@@luciferdracul7320 Thanks for subscribing mate, where trying 😂, if you have only just started mate i would concentrate on some long runs, so if your longest is 5k currently try to do 6-7k long run just at zone 2 once a week, be doing a video on long runs this Sunday, you could also try doing some intervals during them so 1k at 10k pace then 1k recovery zone 2 heart rate and repeat for say 6k so 3 times around hope this helps

What if there are no hills where I live?
@BLMR_FITNESS7 күн бұрын
@@bench-xpress Do you go to a gym? or have access to a treadmill set it to incline again do it on distance or time then slow the treadmill down to a walk till you get too zone 2 and repeat 👍

I used to car push.. if you have any industrial areas or old store parking lots.. we have an old closed Walmart/Target parking lot that's perfect. I would just put my car in neutral and push for 30-45 seconds.. hop in the car and back it up to where I started and repeat 5+ times.. same effect as hill sprints, I've done both.

@ Sounds like a great workout, but is very strong man, i’m training more hybrid these days so try not to do anything too taxing as on most run days, i lift in the evenings too 💪
