Running Hooks and cleaning catfish, canoe day 3

This is our 3rd and probably last film on running these hooks and i show you my way of cleaning them

I gotta get a boat motor running where i can take him to the swamp. Im scared to but him in a canoe. In a boat i can grab his life jacket and pull him back in but a canoe we may both wind up in . But we are gonna do some chanterelle hunting before too long

Well, that fellow who's always telling me fishing stories told me another one. Seems he was out catching frogs again and using them for bait. Said every time he'd toss out he'd catch a fish. He caught fish until he couldn't find one frog left on the bank. He looked over and there was an old water snake just starting to swallow the last frog around. He grabbed the snake by the neck, forced open his mouth and pulled that frog out. He slammed the snake down hard on a rock and left it dazed and laying there. He hadn't been fishing long before his conscience got to bothering him. Now how could he be so callous as to take the last food out of that poor snakes mouth and treat him so rough? Well, it is best not to drink but there's nothing this fellow liked better than his Jack Daniel's. So, in partial payment, he went back to the snake, opened its mouth, and poured a slug down its throat. Feeling better he went back to fishing. But something kept pecking at his breeches leg. He looked down and there was the snake with its head raised up, looking at him expectantly. It had another frog in its mouth.

Thank you for sharing! I just cut into my first cat fish last night, because a kind old fisherman gave me two he caught next to the playground where I took my daughter....and this Yankee was feeling lost....the fish was still alive after 1 hour in a plastic bag? lungs? the belly meat has skin on both sides?....thanks to this video, the critters over my fence will get less leftover catfish meat next time.

I’m glad you kill them before cleaning, Catfish I hit with a hammer we’re your sticking them. Filleting perch or bass I cut through spine right behind the head. I no some who clean them alive, you can’t get any more crueler than that!

Im catching these in a very overlooked strip of water . Most people head to the well known holes. But they running in this high water. If it dont stop raining im gonna tie hooks to the front porch lol

I don't know much about their habits but I do love catching and eating catfish. That being said, I notice that dang near every one of yours is females, except them two mud cats you caught I think was males. Wonder why that is?
