I absolutely love running in the rain. I ran the Edinburgh half marathon this year and it hammered down all race. You're so right though, runs like this prepare you for anything.

I'm from Mumbai and running in the monsoon is in fact a thing here. Like someone else here from the UK said, if you can't run in the rain you don't get to run. I've had whole half marathons with the rain bucketing down. I still stop at the thought of walking out of the home into rain, but if it comes at the start line or after 5 mins or so of running... let it rain!

@@rohankohli2520 Thank you so much for your comment! I guess nothing can top rain season especially when it‘s bucketing down during the monsoon! I guess I had a taste 😂 of what you have to face… I‘m doing the same: when it‘s raining I hesitate here and then but still go when temperatures are ok… if it starts during the run, it‘s even welcoming to cool down a bit… Nice comment 👍 much appreciated. Let‘s keep it up 🌧️😅

I just had my first experience running in the rain just 2 days ago, I had 4 blisters on one foot and a thumb sized blister on the other foot. Still limping around at home with a makeshift slipper with a cut out hole for the humongous blister :|

@@narriepyw hmmm 🤔 I had the very same experience especially at the beginning of my running journey! Then I consequently changed to toe socks and now here it comes, NO COTTON made ones… gone, I use Tabio Pro Race socks for every run, since more than 1 year, not a single blister, they still use cotton but just 10% or do, the rest is nylon, polyester aso… please 🙏 get a good pair of durable socks!
