Totally agree!! I'm so glad I stuck with it throughout the years to have been able to come to that realization. It's my form of therapy too ☺️

Beautiful words Elijah. To me running is freedom, peace, happiness, willpower, strength, friends, sore legs, injury, rest, the present, sweat, tears, breath, health. It is all this and so much more. Running is love. Running is life.

10 weeks out now with no running. I was at a bit of a low point in my life and increased my mileage to compensate because I know running brings me so much joy and happiness. Of course lesson was learned the hard way. A stress fracture alongside ligament damage. Still some minor swelling. God I miss it so much. Hopefully won't be too much longer...

It has evolved in me for the past 8-9 years when I first got into it and slowly growing more for the past 3-4 years as my main sport/hobby. I have learnt a lot about myself and enjoying every step of the process.

Running is Everything. It makes me feel alive, it makes me feel sane. It is tough on some days, but that is what we live for. Running is LOVE.

I'm 60 as well. I've been going to the park and power walking for an hour. There's also a short hill, that I run up. I look forward to that hill, as I can tell just doing that short hill is a good workout. Recently, I've added a tiny amount of running, with hopes of getting back to full running. I'm retired now, so I feel like I really don't have a good excuse for not getting some sort of exercise in. I've noticed that Elijah Orr and Simone Biles always seem to be so happy. I think it is partly due to their aggressive workouts.

You're body is telling you that you are not recovering properly in between runs and running too much. Slow down and decrease your mileage
