Dude, crazy similar story to my own. Baseball from 5y/o - 7th grade. Got serious about running around 8th grade/Freshman year. PRs Freshman: 19:01, 11:04, 4:54 Sophomore: 16:29, 10:08, 4:44 Junior: 16:16, 9:58, 4:38 (a lot of injuries) Senior: 15:58, 9:28, 4:32 Went to college, didn't like my coach, transferred. Finished out eligiblilty. Fell out of love with running and have recently gotten back into it with hopes of trail/ultra

Hey ! awesome video. Im really glad ive found your channel. You motivated me to start running, I started only about 2 months ago and i was running really short distances for a short time. I kept gradually improving and yesterday i did my first 17 km run. In 1 hour 35 minutes probably not the best but i improved a lot .

Just recently got into running and this channel got recommended to me and I’ve binged all the videos already. Love the content. You should make a video on how to get good running form or heart rate zones or running shoes! Thank you!

This video is fantastic. I've just recently found your channel, and I couldn't wait for this video. Turns out that you have a very similar progression to me! I'm a junior this year and I am super glad that your times have showed me that my goals are possible! I want nothing more than to break 16:00, so I can hopefully compete in the NCAA. I also know that I'm not good enough to be a pro runner after college which is why I plan to transition to ultra-marathons or other extreme endurance sports like you did. You are such an inspiration to me!

Running was my first sport and was the first reason when I started training myself but 4 and a half years ago, I shifted to weight training and eventually Calisthenics. Your videos are so inspiring and Im slowly getting into running again. Keep it up man !

Dude, i LOVE the hat at the start of the video haha, and i really admire your passion for the sport as well. I saw you had a cayucos sweater on in a past video- I’m in SLO and focusing on dedicating my time to be a professional runner as well, I’d love to chill and sesh some training runs with you if you wanted to meet up and run some mountains/FKT’s or cruise around. You seem like a super laid back like minded dude a short drive away and i think you’d agree we can keep up with each other and each could use a running buddy from time to time. Feel free to look around for me in your follows on strava or instagram and reach out if you wanna. -just an Internet marathon runner with nothing better to do but run

Any tips on planning meals/snacks around runs? I feel like I have to wait at least an hour after a meal of protein, veggies, carbs, but can usually get by after 15 min on just a piece of toast on an empty stomach. @Kellyrunsalot4 жыл бұрын
The easiest way to get better at running is to start our by running really slow! It’s okay to run really slow, because it’s easier and you can go for much longer. Instead of running hard and being out of breath for 1-2 miles, try running as slow as needed that allows you to keep going for 3.
