So here we are in Greeley at 93 degrees and had that kind of rain on Monday afternoon. We'll take all the rain we can get both here on the front range and on the Western Slope. Loved watching the spray off the tires. Yup, if you wanted a bath just wait for a truck to go by. YEE HAW. Thanks for the filming time. See you on the next one. Gotta show us a pic of the changed windowLOL

That water on the streets of Moab was insane! Also, Hwy 128 at 6:20 from the north side of Moab up to I-70 is amazing! By far my favorite scenic drive of all time.

@@MOAB-UT That's what I'm talking about. Driving Hwy 128 from Moab up to I-70. I can see how you misinterpreted my comment. 🙂
@MOAB-UT2 жыл бұрын
@@johnwyoder I guess I missed the 128 and just skipped to 1-70. Thought you said UP I-70 which is nice but not quit amazing. My bad. Going South on 128 from town is also epic- maybe better IMO. About 3 miles from town, on the right is a really nice hiking trail called Grandstaff Trail to Morning Glory Arch. It's outside the park so you can just park and walk it anytime- about an hour in and back depending on your pace. Not far but not super short either. Large arch and a sandy cover at the end. You can't go wrong wherever you go IMO. The whole area is amazing. 500,000 acres sq. I haven't even been to the Needles area yet. We have been there 6 times and counting and find new paths to discover each trip. I've stayed in fancy hotels and hung out with off the grid folks deep inside canyons- on the same trip. Always end back at Gilibertos though for the great Mexican food! Haven't camped yet but doing so on the White Rim trail is on my list. Have you ventured off the pavement and over to Chicken Corners, H*lls Revenge, Shafer Trail and/or Long Canyon yet? If not, add those spots to your list. They are all epic areas.
@johnwyoder2 жыл бұрын
@@MOAB-UT We've been off pavement in northern UT. A year ago we ran the Pony Express Trail from west to east across the entire state. However, I have Shafer trail, and about 20 others, on my bucket list! I follow a number of overlanding accounts on YT, and every time they run a new trail that looks interesting, I pause the video, switch over to Google maps, and drop a marker. 😀 Unfortunately, being from the Midwest, we only get out there every other year.

Your snow-driving videos are the best, especially through the Rockies, through Eisenhower tunnel, etc. I have not driven these roads since 1970, and then in a new Chevy Impala, 350 cubic inch sedan, with less than 2000 miles on it. Now I live in very hot climates in Asia. Maybe this is why I so much enjoy watching your snowy videos, which are fantastic. These days, the increased road traffic in America is incredible. When I drove from PA to California, in many states there were no speed limits. I feel sorry for those who are young enough today not to know what is meant by The Open Road. I left the US when I was less than 30 yo, and I rarely return to the US, maybe about once every 30 years. America was far better in the 1950s, and far less overpopulated, too. Great videos.

I should have been a duck. I love this weather, with the thunder and lightening. When I was young, I'd be dancing in this. My Mom would beg me to come inside for fear my dancing and playing in rainy thunder and lightning storm. But in my heart, I knew God loved me and wouldn't let me get hurt. I loved the thunder and lightning, I was told God was bowling with the Angel's and the lightning was a strike. No wonder I always felt safe. God must have really loved me. Evan at my age, I still love being out in the rain. I love to watch thunder and lightning. I once pulled over so I could just sit and watch the lightning show only God could provide. Along with all of the beautiful scenery throughout the world. Pity most people don't just enjoy it as much as I do. That's why I prefer road trips so much. All that beauty from the sky to the ground. I even love the rocks, trees, wild animal's and the many colors of fall are my favorite. I should have been a trucker. I even love the snow and snowstorms. The many types of snow flakes, from fluffy little clumps to amazing swirling in front of you. I always need to focus when I'm driving, it's almost hypnotic to watch from the sheer beauty of it. I guess that's why I love watching you video's. Really enjoy your commentary, with all the great tips and information. You have a good heart. Thank you for posting your adventures.
