The sweet sound of springtime birds and whining electric motors on trains and the clicking and clacking of track! Of course, lawnmower noise!

The 28 HP V-twin mower has an almost Harley-Davidson sound to it.

To get gaz, you must rescue flat car. To got it, you must fix the switch. To retrieve the cooler, you must built new branch. Luckily you have aluminium rails, cause we didn´t see much action on the line since a while and steel rails would be so rusty, that poor 70 would have slip like hell to climb that grade. Add finishing siding and switch, turntable approach, enginehouse, car barn, new locos..... Gosh, how many hours your days have ? Forget it. Go back to grass cutting.....😊

Yeah, that switch probably got hurt a little when the flatcar ran away down it. I wish I got it on video, but I called it in over the radio first which was certainly the right choice. Camera footage really doesn't do a justice for just how steep that hill is.

time to get the MBRY Track Gang out for a weekend rehab! picking switches = not good. looking like some major trackwork plans upcoming. might need some more Flatcars and a Gon or two for scrap ties.

The Millbrook train to the rescue! 🛟 it is bad to runout of gas, but it is worst to run out of gas, and not have any on hand! on the back of your garden tractor , was that a counter balance or traction weight? steep grades tractors love to spin their wheels! and you stop cold! they should have “ positraction “ non slip differential. take care, stay hydrate Aaron!

The tractor has wheel weights and a barrel weight on it, so I can scoop ballast.

I see the corns getting big. Question- The remote, is it safe to say if you gave the command “go” from the shed and walked to the enginehouse. Without derailing would you expect the train eventually? Or is it “unbroken command” or radio continuity?

Whats next 🤔❓ rampant poison ivy 🤔😵😨😱❓😢😭❗

We pulled all the poison ivy up by the roots many years ago, and it has never come back.

@@MillBrookRailroad Thats how its done! My nextdoor neighbor found it the hard way the year after he moved in, he had that rash all over his arms, hands, and legs, and had no idea what the plant looks like. The previous owners were non-chalant about it, and let it grow wild in the yard. I was outside doing something, and the new neighbor came over to ask me if i knew anything about poison ivy, i saw that rash all over him and instantly knew he had found it the hard way. Having had a nasty encounter with it myself years ago, i immediately began showing him the "leaves of three", and between my efforts and his, that yard is now poison ivy free.
