Beginners! You don’t even need a routine. Best advice is go to a specific running shop and ask what trainers are best for your feet and buy the cheapest ones they offer, or find them cheaper or an older model online. Then just practice. Walk more, walk up hill, jog some. Occasionally sprint for 30-50m walk back, repeat a few times. Just enjoy. Before you know it you’ll have improved. I’m by no means elite but can run a 5k in about 18 mins, and easily complete half-marathons on weekends for fun. And the above advice is all I did about 5 years ago to get here -plus I work a demanding job full time so can’t really dedicate lots of time to improving. Good luck. (Never had an ice bath, not sure I want to try)

I don't understand this part "Sprint for 30-50 m walk back". Do you want to explain how can I do that.
@user-xx6ud8iq7g
@user-xx6ud8iq7g 7 ай бұрын
@@molepapawinn1359you run somewhere for 30-50 metres and then walk the distance back to the start to catch your breath before doing it again. If you aren’t outside maybe sprint for 30 seconds to a minute on a treadmill and then walk for a minute and repeat. Hope that helps?

@@user-xx6ud8iq7gwhy would you want to start sprinting though? Don’t you have to have a good technique before you go all out..?
@user-xx6ud8iq7g
@user-xx6ud8iq7g 6 ай бұрын
@@whoohw1394 no. You don’t need to be scared of your own legs when going a short distance. Sprinting for very short amount of time improves your aerobic threshold which is your ability to hold a steady pace for longer. In simple terms it improves stamina. So a few sprints massively contribute to running a slow mile. Obviously if you want to try sprinting as a sport the technique comes more into play, but only really to improve speed or if you’re having frequent injuries. Think about little kids running about, no one teaches them technique, they just do. Go for it.

I would recommend using run-walk intervals as well. I started with 20 minutes of 1 minute walk, 1 minute run and increased the run time a minute every week. Now I'm running 4 to 1 and the 20 minutes is feeling easier / I'm going farther :D

It's actually really important to run/walk for a long time very slowly. You want to keep your heart rate low. If it gets too hard to talk or you need to breathe out of your mouth, you need to go slower. Look it up. I believe this is how you train your aerobic system to make your blood vessels stronger/bigger as well as your heart. It's something like that. There is a book by Rich Roll where he talks about it, called "Finding Ultra" that is a fun read with a few tips to research. His story is cool though.

I disagree with having a set routine, especially as a beginner. Most people don’t have the fitness level to do 6 workouts per week with only one rest day (or two if you count the walk as a rest day). Keep it simple; while keeping your breathing under control, run as fast and as far as you can, and take as many days off as your body needs to recover. Just keep doing this and you will see your speeds and distances increase, and your rest days decrease.

Ah a video for people to injure them selves starting off and then resent working out lol , beginners start with time jog and walk and once you complete the time work till you run the time fully , once complete every second daybrun that time same pace for few weeks , then you can see where you are , forget being the best , consistency must be your friend or you will never keep it up when it gets harder, stay strong
@jonm2631
@jonm2631 4 ай бұрын
Needlessly complicated and beginners don’t need to be focusing on plyometrics or fartleks. Just follow a simple plan like Couch to 5K or Hal Higdens beginner plans focusing on easy runs or alternating run/walk durations.

I don’t think beginners should be doing any kind of speed training for the first couple of months. That’s how you get injured. You need to build a very strong base. That’s how I’ve managed to stay injury free for the past 6 years.

@pacifinch6619
@pacifinch6619 Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you’re running for. It’s not the most efficient way to improve as a runner, but I did something similar when I rebuilt my aerobic base. Adding a single long run to that will improve things by a lot. You can worry about fine tuning things later. Consistency is key in the beginning!

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NIV‬ ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame” Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19:10‬ ‭ God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins :D When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless you all! 🕊💗 Jesus genuinely loves you ❤️
