It's really interesting, how the SSL Bus+ is in almost every outboard rack and nobody ever talks about it. I guess, in classic SSL fashion, it just works and doesn't get in the way, so it just becomes invisible over time.

It is interesting how divisive "plugins" has become. Back when I started, if you had a compressor you were onto of the world. Now where do I put that plugin?

BB is my favorite band! Were you running it in CR when Ben had to stop the show and tell the FOH to turn it up? It was so quite it felt strange like we just had a car stereo bumping in a parking lot.

Thank God for your thought process. I watch a lot of these front of house interviews and they put a compressor on top of the compressor on top of the compressor with 14 affects on each channel and I’m thinking I can do a better job with the Midas 32 it’s just stupid they think it’s there and they have to use it. It’s like monitor world they have more gear than front of house sometimes it’s like really. Just put the instrument in their ears and call it a day. This guy also asked the right questions, very good interview

Zero percent chance you can do better with your M32 😅

@@otherspennyI don’t know, give him a chance. It’s not the gear, it’s the ear, as they say. I would objectively evaluate a mix either way just the basics vs. a console with superior preamps, butter internal bussing and dynamic EQ for the vocals.
