Targetted removal is good. But other cards that affect players and dont remove are severely underated. Sometimes youll face something like an aristocrats deck and having removal aint gonna do anything. So heres a few i mean. Dress down. Flash enchantment. All abilities are gone for one turn and you draw. You can stop combos, stop an ender, potentially stop certain effects like death touch. Sudden Spoiling. Same thing. but its split second. Cant do anything except mana abilities. The opponents board also become 0/2. Removal is good. Counter spells are cool. But theres other stuff people should look at.

Dress down is great. I've used it for various decks and have featured it in some of my videos. Sudden spoiling is nasty as well.

im a big fan of plaguecrafter and windgraces judgment as they hit all my opponents in some way. also no mention of aerial extortionist? constant temporary removal and draws you cards in the process.

I think targeted removal is a lot less important than 1 sided board wipes. Cyclonic rift gets hate because it takes no effort to make amazing. But there are lots of strategies that have board wipes that wipe out your opponents and leave your board. Running tef pro effects turn other people’s board wipes into one sided wipes in your favor.

That's a different video. Board wipes are super important, and making them one sided is an art form.

My Zaxara deck can only have cards with alliterative names (including lands), so very light on removal

Would you count a Stifle effect as removal? I’ve been building Morph and I’ve been on and off about Kadena’s Silencer

Kadena’s Silencer is a great morph creature. It often stops a full card of value or more. I run it in my Kadena brew and it’s been a star there. A surprising amount of commander win conditions and removal effects are triggered abilities. Etbs, attack triggers, dies triggers, upkeep triggers, stifle stops them.
