It was such a brutal race. That's me right behind you at 8:42 right after we went off course lol. That heat cooked me as well in the last 10k. Congrats on your run. Great vid!!

Love these videos with different perspectives from the gang. It helps to show that everyone has a different experience of an ultra and there are many ways to get to the finish line. We'll done all of you 🎉

Congratulations to you all!! Your determination in pushing through the difficulties is amazing. I love how you keep it real, including the good and the bad. I watch some other "influencers" channels when they run ultras. They're so concerned with selling their tough fit image, they put together videos that look like a walk in the park. I don't care what protein you drink, tough ultras are never a walk in the park- and they wouldn't be so impressive and inspirational if they were! 😂 Looking forward to Mary's video!

Incredibly well done to all of you! I've a little appreciation of how tough this actually is, I did my first Ultra this year - 55km along the Gritstone trail. Much slower and less fit than you guys but it taught me some great lessons on preparation and attitude.

Thanks Iain, and we’ll done to you too. An ultra is an ultra regardless of speed or time etc 💪🏼💪🏼

Really enjoyed this one. I reckon ultras is gonna be where I find the most enjoyment (and pain??). Thanks for sharing Ben. That was great!

I ran mainly road races, 5k- half marathons, with a sprinkle of trail races, from 12-40 years old. Because the shorter distances were so brutal and intense, and I had a lot of injuries, I never thought ultras were for me. I wish I'd tried them 20 years ago! Slowing down, hitting the trails, eating great food, accomplishing crazy challenges, and enjoying the relaxed, supportive, incredible environment that comes with ultras... they're my happy place! Good luck!

Great video it is funny because where I’m always in the hills from where I live and sometimes I’m uncomfortable and longs stretches of flat ground but I heard Stephen Scullin say that when he ran Boston, he started off and he looked at a hill going down and he never trained hills at all. He didn’t even know what to do, the great Irish Olympian didn’t have a clue what to do he said when he hit Boston so it is it is it really interesting that you know we training I think it just helps our mind but great video. Great job well done well done you got a real special way on your videos that nobody else touches.

That looks amazing, I suspect the worst thing we couldn't really experience was the heat! I did my first marathon last week on a trail run. I hoped to do 50k (because why not?) but my knee started barking at me at about 40k and the way the course was designed gave me the option to stop without doing a final 8k loop. Was really ahppy with that as it's only down to running channels like yours that I started doing some last year. So push yourselves, aim high, do hard things and you'll find out what you're made of!

It comes with time! I'm incredibly uncoordinated, and have a history of non running knee and ankle issues, so technical trails were super scary at first. Now I'm flying over trails I walked a year ago! Give it a go, slow and steady. Most of us aren't good at something until we practice.
