Congratulations! At least no leeches! Asian trail running is brutal! People don't understand back home why the time are so slow... Until they see the sleek mud or the super sticky clay that sticks to your shoes and adds 5 kg to your feet. You have to love it!😂

It's completely fine to wear your medal all day on race day. But, as a joke to my partner, I put on my medal the next morning. Opened the front door to collect the milk and the neighbour was there. Said hi and I went bright red at the fact I was still wearing my medal. 🤣

Granted it's not as humid and most of the time not as hot but in the centre of Germany we have Brocken-Marathon. Similar profile first half up the mountain second half down. Great challenge.

Awesome run Mary! Quick question, I’ll be running my first 25k trail run in Thailand in October, similar to this one you guys did, up and down. Would using my daily trainer “Pegasus 38” be ok? Hopefully won’t be this muddy 😅 the run will also have around 5k of road running. Cheers

@@marybridges9606 It’s Phatad in Petchabun, but I’ll be doing a couple this year so probably worth it investing in a pair of trail running shoes. With my road shoes I can run in paths no problem but with more technical forest ways I imagine trail shoes would give more stability. Thanks anyways 😊
