It had to be done! Running the Boston 5k was on our list and we were lucky enough to get entry in to it before it sold out. And what an experience! Oh and then we met Eric Floberg and Matt Fox for a coffee. This running world is the best!

Lovely video Ben & Mary. You can really feel the excitement building through the video. The 5k run was mental, the crowds were amazing. I completed my first full marathon in Manchester yesterday., perfect conditions, EVERYTHING went to plan, stuck with the pacers and came in at 4hrs 27 mins, I'm still buzzing today😂

Exactly! Runners are the best! I am 70 and have been running for 45 years. I keep going, one, because I love it, and two, because I love the tribe of runners. BTW, Floberg cracked me up with his statement about the hills. Anyone who has run Boston knows better than to underestimate how they will feel at that part of the marathon, especially if you go out too fast. Hopefully, everyone has a great race. Rooting for you all!

Awesome video. Cool you all got together. I did boston last year and had a blast. Crowds were nuts. One of my favorites so far for sure. Also NYC and comrades. Hard to say what's best but after Boston last year even with horrible weather, I was sure it was ny favorites 😜 . Have a blast and run strong. Good luck

the victims that died in the 2013 bombing are smiling down on us. Martin Richard (killed by the second bomb) Krystle Campbell (killed by the first bomb) Lingzi lu (killed by the second bomb) Sean collier (shot to death by Tamerlan Tsarnaev) Dennis Simmonds (died from head injuries from a pipe bomb thrown by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev during the Watertown shootout) they may have been wiped out during the Massachusetts incidents, but their legacies will live on

The last time I ran the Boston 5k, the pen was not organized at all. Looks like they’ve done nothing about proper seeding. I have no beef with folks that are taking it easy or walking but crowding with folks that want to charge out is a recipe for disaster.
