Finally got the rc4wd cross country up to the land for a more serious drive. It needs some changes but has the potential to be amazing on the trails!

I love that rig i really do just a bit disappointed that it got pulled. I hear a lot of people slating the Cross Country when they havent even got it, as far as i am concerned RC4WD made it so it has to be awesome, can you tell i love everything RC4WD 😂. I think the body looks great and the chassis looks even better. Servo location looks a bit sketchy but i havent seen it in flesh or had a drive of it so cant really say if it works or not. Love the channel bud 👍🏻🤙🏻 and the fact that you are a fellow RC4WD lover. KEEP IT SCALE 🤜🏻🤛🏻

The servo centering issue looks like it could be somewhat of a design issue. I dont have one to look at in person but I think having the servo horn perpendicular to the steering link when centered is possibly in part why it is turning further one way than the other. The arc that the horn travels in is causing you to loose travel one way. It's hard to explain through text but you may understand what I mean. When the steering is centered and you are looking at the pivot axis of the horn the steering linkage should be at a 90° angle from the horn. Looks like longer steering linkage might be needed to obtain the correct steering geometry. Your losing travel one way due to the arc that the horn travels in as it rotates. Like I was saying I dont have one of these but from the part of the video at the end when looking at it from this angle in the video your tires look straight and the horn is already at an angle like your turning to the passenger side. Love the videos btw keep up the awesome work. I'd love to go crawling with ya sometime maybe you need to venture to Tennessee and check out Windrock offroad park and maybe when they are hosting a 1:1 rock bouncer race and they have an rc course near the general store. They have over 72,000 acres of riding with trails from gravel roads to some nasty black diamond trails.

Awesome surroundings to go for a crawl with the trees and the rocks, thanks 👌 Whatsmore, I suspect this truck is a 'blank canvas' proposition from its looks, if inspiration is what you need, I dig fellow KZbinr 'Mudder Putter' CC project ✌

Looks pretty good on the trails, about as good as a jeep can infact. But I wonder how well one of the blazer hardbodies would fit on that chassis.

I would say first thing cut those steps off the frame sliders, but since it is not available anymore I wouldn't touch it. I personally would leave it factory until rc4wd figures out what they are going to do. Then decide what you want to do from there. That could be really sought after very soon.

I like the chassis design, I'm guessing once all the bugs are worked out, it will be a fun rig to drive. Hopefully RC4WD will fix whatever the issue is that pulled em off the website, whether licensing or whatever.

I am looking forward to finding out more from RC4WD on this rtr and will we ever be able to get it without the jeep body if that's why it is not on there site. As for yours give it a new paint job and age it so it fits in on your channel. You just don't see old and well used jeeps out on the trails! Needs to have that just got it out of a wrecker yard put a battery in it and just drove it home.

I think the chassis seems pretty good, but that body needs a little help. Looks like a toy grade body than a hobby grade body.

I noticed beside one scale driver in one of the trail finders (with the rusty shirt) you never put drivers in your cars....what's the reason for that? Just wondering...but thanks again for sharing and keep them coming. 👍🍻

I just don’t find many that fit well enough. The one driver I have is the old tamiya plastic guy for the hilux

@@RCeveryday I started with the rc4wd D90, and I have Arnold Schwarzenegger from Neca driving it and he fits perfectly. But indeed, fitting one in a tf2 or blazer, that's a pain. I have rc4wd Mike in the Blazer but he can't reach the steering wheel, so I have to do some modifications on that.

@@RCeveryday That's what's up man, they dont look to even have any wear on them. They fit the scale of the Jeep perfectly. Awesome looking rig I hate they put all the time and money into this truck only to have to take it off the market. Surely they will change the body out and release it again.

With it being a cool spring setup with separate shocks it reminds me of the RC-Run kit that came out not long ago and is meant to be a 1/10 FJ80 Landcruiser they could use the 80 series body on it or even the LC70 body that is the pickup version of the Landcruiser.

@@RCeveryday if those are 4.19 class 1 tires, I believe you have a fake set. Class 1 4.19 tires from Ottsix never had mold lines down the middle of the tire. The molding line is between the otter lugs. Nice run!

How do you mount your hard body's I was dumm and drilled wholes
@RCeveryday

Most of these Rc4wd rigs come with mounts that come off the side of the frame and attach with small screws along the bottom of the body.
