Coaches, I'm always looking for new and innovating ways to run my RPOs. What's your favorite way to run your RPO?

I like the zone read combined with hitch seams. If you can make those linebacker's hesitate even longer my making them honor the zone read, then that opens up your seam routes even more for quick hitting explosive pass plays. Also, if you have relaxed coverage outside, just hit that hitch. My favorite rpo is combining the Go or the Slide with the zone read. You can use a tight-end on the single receiver side to give you a more of a run threat, or keep it as a X or Z outside to spread the field. It is all about creating even more hesitation on the defense, hence why I like the RPO aspect. Drives 'em crazy

+Eric Kilpatrick Never thought about combining slide and zone. Would you base the end and read the backer?

Yes. Since you have the seam read with #3 receiver, you are going to read the backer closest to #3. What does he do, does he fall for the fake or just drop to cover. God help the defense if they blitz both backers nearest #3 (Coverage man and inside the box) because they are screwed royally on that seam read...just watch out for that d-end zone blitzing.

I coach Canada ball and I like to run 2 by 3 with a running back and run y stick on the trips side. bubble on the boundary and inside zone. QB reads does he like stick. if he doesn't then run zone base the end and read the LB for the bubble

Coach Maharaj, I'm jealous with you Canada football coaches. Ya'll get an extra player and can use motion to get a running start. That's an offensive coach's dream.

I like the bubble off of the inside zone read, if the D tries to stop both we have a slant and bubble concept from 3X1 and the slant goes for 10+yards a play when we hit that.

+weston88doe That's a great concept coach.

Coach McKie we sometimes read second level off the play. so we base block the end and read the flat defender, so if he goes for slant we hit bubble and hit vice versa.

+weston88doe That's a deadly change up. We've done that a couple of times with our Pin and Pull scheme

In a rpo are you always reading the flat defender ?
