Absolutely gorgeous Black Bonnet engines and car sets! I just picked up a steamer in this scheme from Pat's trains and he seems to be the person to go to for them!

@LousTrains1523 yes, pat's trains does a lot of black bonnet custom runs. We've found many on the ogr sellers forum, a good place for train guys to buy and sell with no fees.

yes, the backdrop is coming along, but still needs finishing touches. the raised lettering on the santea fe is especially noticeable.

Yikes! When I saw the smoke coming out of the bottom of the Turbine I thought it was the mother of all short-circuits! Wow! You know, actually it's kind of a neat effect in it's own right! Whether it's supposed to do that or not I have no idea! Thise are some VERY impressive trains none the less, thanks for sharing them with us!

Wayne, it brought back some vivid memories for Ryan from his childhood with smoke on the trainboard. Looks like its a fire with injectors dumping fuel into the exhaust system. Similiar to the GE problems with the dash7,8, and 9 in real life. you know I like black and red, black and orange, black and yellow so much. Gary

@@TheTrainboard The GE's always had problems. They are 4 cycle diesels and they would come out of time and would smoke like crazy. Also, when you notched-up, they revved up slowly and and it would take the engine a bit to catch up with the turbo and they smoked pretty good. I ran all of those, during my railroading career. I will take an EMD over a GE, any day.

Howard, my conventional post war new haven diesel was my 2nd engine bought, so many years ago, when God was young. It needs a cleaning. This engine is tmcc, still a favorite. And that hard to find dome car is special to us. Thanks so much for your support. Gary

Great guys. You might want to pop the shell off the Turbine, looks like the smoke funnel is miss-aligned and not sealed to the roof. It looks like its on fire, lol with all the smoke filling the shell and leaking out.

Yes, phil we took the shell off. The hole is aligned but it is way to small in diameter for the smoker 3:31 s very large volume. We will advise. It sure does look on fire. Much appreciated Gary

Cool! I like the fantasy Black Bonnet Bird Burner. It's strange, though, that they didn't give it a more powerful fan driven smoke unit, to blow the exhaust out, like an actual turbine would. All of those Black Bonnet cars are absolutely beautiful. The New Haven engine and train is great, also. I like watching you run trains on your layout. Great action and scenery, for sure. An excellent video, as always.
