Cool! This is a real nice running session, for sure. I like your layout's configuration. Anything that emphasizes running trains, is always good. That's the way I set my layout up and most of my videos are just running trains on the three mains. An excellent video, as always.

I checked the Lionel Identity site and there are definitely two versions of this F3. Both are single motors as you have but one is horizontal motor and second is vertical motor. The single vertical is a smaller version and in other engines is used as double motors. The horizontal design can be configured with a second motor. The suggestion of acquiring a second “A” unit to become “ABA” is a good one. I run two dual motor units for 4 motors (11 or 12 pounds plus) and pulling is endless and smooth.😊 Not using your “B” unit is no fun just having it sit idle.

I have the same texas special set. It pulls longer trains than yours with ease. Yours may need some kind of maintenance.
