This video dives into the fascinating research linking running technique traits with injuries such as knee pain, ITB syndrome, stress fractures, and other serious injuries.
In addition, if any of these traits are found, you will also learn how to eliminate every one of these 5 traits with just one simple strategy.

Thanks for this! after years of being out of the count do to IT band syndrom issues, i'm now getting back to a couch to 5k and working to try and figure out overcoming my IT band issues outside of my right knee.

The original study concerning running cadence was done in the seventies! They measured the cadence of elite runners completing two circuits of the stadium after a marathon race. Further studies showed that some runners increased cadence, while others increased stride length in order to finish well. I see posts all the time (Reddit etc) asking how to increase cadence, without consideration of the length of your legs (imagine a stubby-legged guy competing against a gazelle-like runner). My cadence has increased over time and even reaches "optimal" when I'm really going for it, but I don't worry about it.

Cadence is so interesting. Used to run at a lower around 150-160. Back when I switch to five fingers found. I was well over 200 because I was so net timid to land on the ground. Now in cushioned shoes I’m 170+ in lightweight barefoot shoes around low 180’s.injuries are way down but when I do use the treadmill, I find my legs are tight and sore like on the inside of the leg so it must be on the treadmill is forcing my form that way even though I try to make sure I’m always in more minimalist shoes on a treadmill

Good insights Todd. Some people do run differently on a treadmill. Often with a narrower step width. Would be interesting to analyse
