Running two American Flyer trains with 715 flatcars 11-02-2023

This video features two American Flyer S gauge trains with variations of the 715 Auto Unloader cars.
The Nickel Plate 342DC 0-8-0 is pulling the four car freight set from 1949. This set is the last year with the 634 light car. In 1950 the 634 was replaced with the new 646 Power Flood Light Car with the hard to find chrome light housing and light green diecast generator.
The GM 370 SD-7 is pulling the 3 car freight set from 1950.

A fine example of the American Flyer Set 5112T in its original state with link couplers. Those 370 GP7's, your unique SD7, do seem to run very smoothly. Maybe it is that giant weight inside that helps as well as the TLC from its owner. Kudos to you.

Don't feel bad, I have one of them in the original brown packing box I never used and it looks brand new with all the factory brown wrap and all the paper work, instructions to everything, looks like it came straight from the Gilbert factory. I have a lot of mint condition stuff in original boxes because I have no room to run more than a 4x8 space.

Marx guy here, the auto on the flat car looks better facing the other way. As I do on Marx flats.

The flatcar can be put on the track either direction. Most of the Tootsie and Manoil vehicles will go on either direction and still drop into the axle lock tabs. Many options. Thank you for watching.
