Kate Bush is one of my favourite artists, and though this version obviously can't come close to the original, it's my way of communicating my love of her music. It's as if every time I listened to the original there was this chest-tightening melancholy hidden inside the the track by Kate Bush and it takes this one man, one mic and a guitar to open the pandora's box and let the hard, fluttering, simple core of the song pour out.

One of the more stranger things I've read here. This cover is great and this song has been a classic since it was a hit regularly played on MTV in the 1980s. It's never needed to be kept alive, because it never lost any of it's life to music fans. But maybe younger people were not familiar with it until it became used on TV recently.

I love how you have made this your own. Made all the more poignant for me because our 29 year old daughter Paris tragically died in July; not long after having seeing the episode of Stranger Things this song featured in. That line "If I only could I'd make a deal with God and get him to swap our places" takes on a whole new meaning for me now. Thank you.

This cover is really introspective, and not something I really expected, as if you were telling another story between the lines of the original. Well done! :) I literally just discovered Kate Bush during this quarantine mess (this exact song actually, and oddly enough via a KZbin suggestion when I watched the video of Falling by Julee Cruise from the Twin Peaks soundtrack), and I've literally been blown away by her. This song came out 2 years before I was even born, but it could seriously have been recorded yesterday. I don't think there's anything dated about it. The number of young artists covering it now definitely attests to that.

A magnificent and fully worthy take on this brilliant song James. I will definitely check out the TAB, though I think a more basic chording and singing of the song is essential for me first. Hearing the song in a male voice helps as I am not practiced enough as a singer to faithfully find my voice from listening to a much higher register. An angel's register in Kate's case...a unique angel for sure.
