This was such a poignant moment, I was shaken for a good while after taking in this episode. The setup has been poetic, like, even Vecna stated how people live their lives without meaning, just "waiting for it all to be over." I just love the story's commentary on working through trauma. For Max to decide she's not ready to die - because she sees hope to live a life fully alive - well that's a hope for the rest of us to hold onto. Season 5 is going to be an existential masterpiece.

I’m back again after so much time. I remember seeing this scene for the first time and being caught off guard. I didn’t expect to relate. After getting sober and surviving a suicide attempt. I called my mom one night after having withdrawals. She picked me up. After having hallucinations and threatening my life, I was sent to a psych ward where I was medicated. And finally had help.
