This was such a poignant moment, I was shaken for a good while after taking in this episode. The setup has been poetic, like, even Vecna stated how people live their lives without meaning, just "waiting for it all to be over." I just love the story's commentary on working through trauma. For Max to decide she's not ready to die - because she sees hope to live a life fully alive - well that's a hope for the rest of us to hold onto. Season 5 is going to be an existential masterpiece.

God that scene got me. On the one hand, you don't expect them to kill a main character. On the other hand, usually when a scene gets dragged out a ton, it's a trope to then kill the character as a surprise (which, now being a trope unto itself, isn't) - and they played with those competing perceptions *perfectly* in how they laid out that scene; and then the acting? Stellar! Loved it!

They did everything so this song turns to be their anthem. It's very much what this all show is about. I think this season has been what this show was supposed to be when they first thought about it... an epic 80s sensationnal retro fight to gather family and friends.

max is really good actor man this bit was the most memorable scene from s4 for me

You can tell the person that uploaded this has to drown out the sound from the scene itself which takes away from the actual orchestra, it sucks but thanks for doing this anyway. We still need the official orchestra version by the producers themselves

Why haven't they released it yet? It'd be an instant hit.

Season 4 gave me the biggest feels. Each episode was so well done. Max played her character so well. She was definitely one of the best, especially after season 3.

All it was missing was the swell of music during the flashbacks but it’s amazing

Yeah it has the lyrics but go watch the scene there’s this swell of music before the “come on baby” starts up, that’s what I’m talking about

@@theautotunecat6005 You’re right, I noticed that too. The violins were very strong during that part and it’s very noticeable that they’re missing from this track

When season 4 began, the "bad guy" made me start to think that maybe the show was starting to run out of steam. Then this scene happened, and made me think that this might even turn out to be the best season yet.

2:49 to 2:51 sounds like Max’s breathing… “I’m still here…”

Undoubtedly the best scene of the entire series. It was that powerful. The best season is season 4. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Max should get an award for this performance.

This is perfect, this version built up the emotion with violin perfectly (i guess is violin or whatever sound like violin) just like the scene where max flash back and the emotion start to built up. Keep it up man

In case anybody was wondering, this genre of music is called "epic pop" or "orchestral pop," formerly an offshoot of Alternative I believe.
