This is a film put together by myself to celebrate Runrig and their last dance. I have used the version of An Ubhal As Airde from my Cutter and the Clan album. The clip of Donnie is a copy from my City of Lights DVD I have dropped it in to B&W and slowed it down. I wanted some footage of Donnie and this was the only way I could do it. Other than that clip everything else is filmed by myself.
I have already posted one tribute with Bruce singing Hearts of Old & Glory so wanted one with Donnie too.

Lyric translation is.....
The Highest Apple
You are with me now.
My eyes closed, my memory confident
Standing here watching
Each hill and shoreline
And the seed you left still growing
The garden is well stocked
With mighty trees
With fruit growing for the whole world
The ripe, the sweet And the bitter apples
And the one apple that is beyond reach
Who amongst us can exist one single day
Beyond our own time and our own limits
Countless and futile
Are the times I've climbed
To reach and taste the forbidden fruit
The winds will blow
and the sun will shine
From generation to generation
Through the trees of the garden
But the day and hour will surely come
To take the highest apple
From the knowledge tree.
