Bruce has gone home, somewhere his heart will once again be young. Memories of him will never grown old. These are such powerful lyrics, sung by a man with a powerful, enchanting voice. RIP, you are missed. Sending love to his wife; and his daughter and son, those two apples didn't fall far from the tree.

So so sad to hear of the passing of Bruce Guthro. I only discovered him a couple of years ago with Runrig. I was blown away with his voice and bought his DVD and his records. He seemed such a lovely guy too. The Runrig guys all loved him as well as the fans. R.I.P. xx

@@alastairclunie7232 I am from Denmark . RUNRIG made me sing/ understand a little bit of Gaelic. As Donnie Munro stoppeIbelieved that this would be The end of RUNRIG, but…. Then there came this Australien guy. I have heard RUNRIG soooo many times at Tønder festival ( Small folk festival). Bruce Was SO humble. He told how nervous he Was, takkng over. I could feel that he meand it from his heart. But The first 15 years i valles him “ The New one”. ( Sorry about my spelling). I Was ( of cource) to “The Final Mile” here In Denmark - and The mod was not happy at all. Absolutely no happy ending. I never headthem st Stirling Castle. Only here In Denmark. But I followed Them sove i was WERY Young and they only were known among a Small quantity of people here.

Loch lomand is the quintessential tunrig song but for me hearts of olden glory is so much better and this performance of it is up there as an incredible live performance ❤ bruce was a legend and imo this is the best runrig song...

I'm 38 and I remember them playing at loch Lomond. Watching all the fans walk to the park. How I wish I could have been there now.

”There's thunder clouds around the hometown bay As I walk out in the rain Through the sepia showers And the photoflood days I caught a fleeting glimpse of life And though the water's black as night The colours of Scotland leave you young inside There's a vision coming soon Through the faith that cleans your wound Hearts of olden glory will be renewed Down the lens where the headlands stand I feel a healing through this land A cross for a people Like wind through your hands There must be a place under the sun Where hearts of olden glory grow young” - By the words, Beyond the Words; Be the Love, Be the Light~

My favorite song, you sing it perfectly. I would say rest in peace, but screw that, you belt this song in the afterlive, let them know that millions of scottish people will be going to your concert in the new world. We might be small, but we are mighty, when it comes to our favorite scottish band.
