RUNS IN THE TURBO VW BUG

Got the bug running with the new transmission. I installed a new turbo and getting that dialed in and I also want to install new venturis in the carburetor for better flow that’s coming in the next video. Bug was ran safely on highway. Enjoy the ride!

Sounding good man. Couldn’t tell if it was the camera or not but it sounded like it was kinda breaking up on upper rpm even on cruising. Rerun your jet numbers also when you up the venturi also. Can’t believe you have some glass in the bug now 😂

You’re right, I did break out at high rpm. That’s why I’m going back one size up with this Venturi set up. I know right?! I’m known locally to run VW’s without windows 🤣 Going to try to find some rear glass and vent windows at Sacramento Bugorama this weekend.

I have it all sorted out. I just wanted to see what would happen with smaller jets with those venturis. Yes I have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. 🤙🏼

Are you running the stock fuel line from the tank? If not what size are you running?

Yes I’m running a stock fuel line with a 3/8 return line to the tank.

My thumb reaches over to that button. In a sense that position for me forces me to let off and put my hand over to the shifter. It works!

How do you preload the transmission?

I have contact switches to activate it

@@volkstroke I try to preload on the torsion bars when I can on the line up goofy footing it. I don’t typically launch it all the time, just when I head out to Mexico. It’s just a street car, I don’t hit any tracks with it.

You’re right it did! Earlier in the video I mention that I went one size down on main jets. Just wanted to test things out. Since then, It’s been correctly tuned.
