Yea I never understood the level of disrespect for a brand new facility that was upgraded to NHL standards. They really made it seem like teams will play in a 40 year old colosseum that's not made for hockey.

What was talked about, and rightfully so, is how an NHL team is playing in a college arena that's smaller than some actual junior hockey rinks, as well as a number of college rinks. The dressing rooms alone, pale in comparison to say the locker rooms at North Dakota's Engelstad Arena or UMass' Mullins Center. That's flat out embarrassing for an NHL team.

Opening night in a mini arena and inspite of all that plus the fact the tickets must be dirt cheap when compared to a hockey market like Winnipeg. They steal couldn't sell out half the stands for opening night. This is beyond bush league
