To this day, the choices to impersonate certain divas confuses me. The point of Snatch Game is to be accurate *and* funny by virtue of who they are. Beyonce is not funny--she's basically the closest we have to a perfect well-rounded entertainer, so there's no humor you can really derive from her. The only funny point about Lady Gaga is her clothing but if you take those clothes away from her she's very personable and a bit reserved. The reason why Cher is funny is because she's a lovable and easily recognizable icon and because her personality is outspoken and filterless. The reason why Season 2's (?) Britney Spears by Tatianna was so good was because Britney Spears is pigeonholed as being very sexy but also kind of ditsy. The reason why Ben's Maggie Smith (who is not a diva but bear with me) was so good was not only because of the sheer accuracy but because Ben played her as if she walked straight out of Downtown Abbey, found herself in this game show, and decided to roll with it while being confounded by everything happening around her. It's funny because it's like watching a live-action "What Would Happen If?" You need someone who is iconic and memorable and entrenched in the audience's minds because of what they have *said*, not simply what they have done. This is a game of talking, not a game of simple "looks" impersonation.

Talyn has time I think the only way a Beyoncé could work in snatch game is if someone plays her as very wise and calm - a bit like Monet's Maya Angelou, and really capitalise on her smooth southern voice. Maybe also play her as a bit out of touch because of her lavish lifestyle. Beyoncé would be that character who is above Snatch Game, but because she's here, she will respect it. Beyoncé is fierce and energetic on stage, but off stage she is calm, poised and slightly sassy. Tyra's Beyoncé was the closest to working, but it was very flat and she didn't really make an impact. She also didn't really make an attempt at the accent, which I think is crucial to making Beyoncé work. Kenya's Beyoncé was just wrong in every way. She played Beyoncé as if she was an 8 year old on adderall. Beyoncé is not a show off, she never bounces off the walls, and she has never had a public drug problem. Plus her repeatedly hair whipping Chad and Dida was unprofessional. Asia's Beyoncé was also bad. You'd have thought that given both Asia and Beyoncé are Texans, the voice at least would have been easy, but Asia never relaxes into that easy cadence Beyoncé has, and plays her as very rigid, domineering and slightly bitter, which is once again something that Beyoncé has never shown herself to be. If Asia wanted to play bitter then she should have played Michelle Williams, or even LaTavia, LeToya or Farrah.

If you are good, you can make everything funny. Queen B f.e. is a competitive person. Plus she balances being relatable to the every day girl, maintaining Streit credibility and being successful and rich and not ashamed or undercover about it.
