@Peter T Not necessarily ‘never’ but often, yes I agree. Krishnamurti was serious and didn’t smile much. Yet a very enlightened aware person. Much harm has been done whilst smiling sweetly.

Rupert, clearest views and explanation on Advaita i have ever experienced in my life.... Being a seeker of truth, had been researching Upanishads, hyms and commentaries of philosophers... But one video of you cleared many of my doubts in just 1 hour of time.. Thank you so much.. Regards from a seeker from 🇮🇳.

I left this as a comment but I will put it here as well. A word used in place of "illusion" can be "superposition". Swami Sarvapriyananda, of the Vedanta Society in New York, uses this term along with the Snake-And-The-Rope analogy all the time.

Hi Rupert, ever since I started watching your videos, I was able to tap so much into my consciousness and discover that I am Awareness and it all felt so good, but now my mind seems to be clamping down really hard, and it's like there's an entity in my head that's constantly over-reactive and causing all sorts of clenching or tightness in my body, it makes me unable to burp or fart or poop easily, it's amplifying the pain I feel from all sorts of things and feelings, and it's affecting my life really much. When I try to talk to this entity, I always get the same answers, it wants me to suffer, and the reason it is here is because of all the consciousness work that I did, and that it is killing it, so it wants me to stop, but I have already stopped for so long, almost weeks, but this entity is still here, and it's just making life harder and harder by the day, I'm like having constipation and bloating just from the fact that mind is so tight that it won't let me release, and my entire life is now centered around finding ways to burp and fart and poop. No matter how hard I try to make peace or be friends with it, it just stays silent, and gives me no answer, and whenever I even think about anything that's slightly triggering to it, like abiding in God consciousness, or meditating, or simply being jolted by sudden movements, and noises, it just goes absolutely nuts, and clenches up completely, making the top of my head feel like there's a clamp on it. I really need help on this, have you or anyone here encountered such a phenomenon before? And what would you guys recommend I do to put an end to this? Is there a way to come to peaceful terms with it? A way for it to just let go if I would stop the meditations? Do I just give it time to calm down? It seems worse and worse each day. Do I keep on practicing meditation regardless of how painful it is and maybe it will be gone forever? But it just feels worse and worse the more I do it, and it always comes back, and it feels wrong to be forcing things like this. I feel like my life is really going to end if I don't find any solutions, anyone who has any idea what's going on and what I should be doing, I would be so grateful to hear from you!

I can relate with some aspects of what you’re saying. But it’s hard to know what is going on someone else. This is what I came to understand about my similar experiences. There is an aspect of the dark night of the soul when the kundalini is released And goes straight into consciousness. It can cause both physical symptoms and unrelenting, psychological pressure from unknown cause. And it can cause pressure on the top of the head. If it is kundalini, the only thing to do is to bear through it. Don’t feel you need to meditate at all during this period. Just endure. I know it is hard to have faith at this time, but if the cause is what I think, it will pass. It took me two 6 month periods to finish it myself, but everyone varies.

@@davidhayes1014 I see, it feels good to hear from you and to know that things will always pass eventually, the pressure on the top of my head only happens when I think of things that piss the mind off, like meditating, God Consciousness, angels guides and all that, or any jolting sudden movements or harsh words. So all I really do now is to keep on enduring? do I try to even meditate or focus on anything that pisses it off? Or do I just live in the heart and the present moment as best as I can? Thanks for speaking to me, I'd love to hear from you again😊

I went through something similar, Rupert suggested once to dance, and sing to someone who was feeling great tension & contraction in their throat & heart area. In my case, Dynamic meditation & kundalini meditation from Osho really helped to soothe the nervous system, contractions in the body & mental garbage. Now I find it easier to let these uncomfortable sensations & thoughts appear without resistance . And see that me awareness is really unaffected by these turbulences . Hope it helps & loads of love!

It isn’t an entity. It just disturbances rising up. Energy moves. Relax and let it all come up and out of you. Don’t try to clamp down, push it away, or meditate it away. It is like smoke rising to the top of a house on fire. Let the smoke rise up and don’t fight it. The more painful experiences you’ve held on to from the past, the more trapped emotional energy there is and the more time it will take for them to move out of you. They all want to move up so let them go. Your digestion has been affected because of this trapped energy. Just like poop wants to move thru your digestive tract, so does energy. That is why acupuncture works. It unblocks trapped energy to restore full function. Imagine hoarding stuff in your house over your entire life. It will take a lot of time to move them out and find the true pure consciousness you can experience beneath it all. So don’t rush the process. Sit quietly, relax, and release. Each disturbance will rise up and leave on its own. You don’t have to do anything with it. This technique is from Michael Singer. It works much better for me than what Rupert suggests, which is to examine it. There is nothing to examine. It merely delays the release and keeps you holding on to the disturbance. I was never able to get unblocked, clean, and clear until I used Singer’s methods. Your physical symptoms are generated by the trapped emotions and reactions that you need to be releasing. We should all be in a constant state of releasing everything to avoid hoarding experiences.

If it brings any comfort to readers I would like to share this. Om 🙏, Here is the actual case of our experiencing: Ordinarily we believe in the "true existence" of a world seperate and distinct from our experiencing of it. But through close and subtle analysis of this experience, in addition to certain special practices of disciplining the mind and calming the emotions, it becomes clear that such an apparent "dualistic" view of reality cannot be upheld as being ultimately true. What distinguishes us from machines? What distinguishes us from machines is our **awareness,** our "consciousness", our "experiencing." Awareness is synonymous with consciousness or "experience." Machines and inanimate matter can move and can even be said (eventually) to "calculate." However, only living things (beings) can "experience." Living beings are "alive" due to a life energy ("shakti") that drives both their birth ("beginning") and their evolution. This energy (shakti) is not measurable by physical means as it is infused in and with consciousness ("Brahman" - which is fundamental and not objectively observable). What we are in reality is this union of awareness & life energy. These two are inseperable. Within our awareness there are appearing forms (experiences) or "planes" of experience which are basically intensifications ("peaks or solidifications") in the field of conscioussness-energy. As humans we are exactly this "awarness-energy" that is "embodied" or "existing" in such a plane we call material or "physical reality." Such planes of experience (consciousness-experiences) manifest from our karma, (residual trace ripples of effect in consciousness) due to impulsive grasping & aversion based on ignorance. Our "human" experiencing of limitation and suffering arises from this process. These appearing ripples in the fields of consciousness are "dualistic" planes of experience - in that we erroneously see a distinction here between subject & object, between "ourselves" and the appearing environment. All experiences (all that appears) are simply vibrations of this energy of consciousness. When consciousness is finally stilled (settled in pure awareness or "pure being") there is no more a distinction in time or place, self or other, and only an undivided, non-dual wholeness which is true peace. So please relax and enjoy your being, there is nothing but experiencing.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. If the cosmic consciousness is just like a huge, infinite mirror and the various conditioned finite experiences are simply the images reflected from and on it. So to the mirror, the mouvement of the images ( appear or disappear ) has no real existence. It is called illusion. So despite the mouvement of the images, the mirror always rests on reflecting. Because the reflection without thought is just the function of the mirror ( of the cosmic consciousness ).
