I remember what Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj said about perception..... “ Anything completely unknown can be sensed but cannot be perceived because perception involves memory .” So obviously whatever has not been introduced to our consciousness (finite mind) cannot be perceived. We can’t even think about it. All of our thinking goes around only those concepts , which we came to know since we started to understanding the world. Thank you Rupert for everything. You are the best teacher.

@NolanEP Perception involves memory means having knowledge of things. What’s what. Knowing concepts. Lots of times we can see things or hear or smell ( sensing) but we don’t understand what they are. Because our brain doesn’t have information about them. If memory is wiped out you can still sense things but have no knowledge of them. Means what that particular thing used for or what’s it call. Like new born babies. What do they know? Do they really know meaning of mother? No. But that doesn’t mean they can’t see her or understand her touch. It’s just their senses are functioning.

The double slit experiment is false. Light is a "wave particle duality"? A wave is an adjective not a verb- wave is how something moves not what it is, light might move in waves but it is not waves. The " photon" have never been the input nor out put of any experiment, there is no evidence to substantiate the idea light is particles. There are no dualities in nature light is light no matter what label we put on it, it certainly is not a duality it is a reality and one we don't know anything about and its worth baring in mind that a description is not an explanation. I hate to be the one to break this to you but almost nothing in our world is true, we are surrounded by lies often both inside us and outside us.

Indeed your world, your perception of your reality is a reflection of your mind with limitations. Matter is a reflection of your limited mind. His dog analogy is excellent! Even it has been proven that more than one individual standing in front of an object describe slightly different because of their limited mind, perception. However, matter is not perceived without being aware of it. Thus, in my opinion, the world we see is dependent on our awareness. Perception is dependent on awareness. Thank you.

Just for the sake of the conversation, here is Wikipedia‘s actual definition for matter. (At least matter in one state.) 💙 A definition of "matter" based on its physical and chemical structure is: matter is made up of atoms.[13] Such atomic matter is also sometimes termed ordinary matter. As an example, deoxyribonucleic acid molecules (DNA) are matter under this definition because they are made of atoms. This definition can be extended to include charged atoms and molecules, so as to include plasmas (gases of ions) and electrolytes (ionic solutions), which are not obviously included in the atoms definition.

His argument that reality is perceived as the brain is structured is brilliant. I enjoyed this video. I would argue that the basis of the scientific concepts are mathematical proofs. They come to these conclusions by formulating certain accepted axioms and building from there. So the concepts are inferred by taking a number of logical steps. The potential holes are when assumptions are made and we place trust in probabilistic models that we believe are well defined. They often are excellent models, I am just allowing for the chance that we have missed flaws in the models.

If 12 people witnessed an event, there would be 12 different interpretations of that one event! An angry person, no matter where s/he travels, will find an angry world. A person with a peaceful mind lives in a peaceful world. Our interpretation of the world is shaped by our genes, our childhood programming and our up-to-date conditioning. It is the mind's *interpretation* of the physical world that defines the world each individual lives in.

Wikipedia definition does not seem to refer to matter being different from consciousness: In classical physics and general chemistry, matter is any substance that has mass and takes up space by having volume.[1] All everyday objects that can be touched are ultimately composed of atoms, which are made up of interacting subatomic particles, and in everyday as well as scientific usage, matter generally includes atoms and anything made up of them, and any particles (or combination of particles) that act as if they have both rest mass and volume.

I'm having trouble following Rupert on this. Something deep inside me says none of this reality exists outside of me, in the same way a story within a book one reads ceases to exist when you close the book and walk away. The world existing independent of me and the world being interpreted in many different ways by different beings with different faculties ALL falls within the pages that my "book" contains...it's all just structures and concepts contained within my book...but until I open my eyes and allow my conciousness to create I feel it's all just a quantum wave of infinite possibility. Because of this I feel it's quite impossible that reality exists separate from the observer.

This becomes very complex...I'm often asking myself, does anyone really exist other than me? Are all these people just playing avatars in my reality ? When people pass away, do they really pass away or did an avatar in the only real reality (the observer's) simply retire from the set? From this current life prospective it's impossible to know. Perhaps when the observer retires from the current movie set it will all be revealed and until then it's supposed to be a mystery.

Excellent explanation. I agree so much with what Rupert is saying. I have a question tho about the limitations of our minds, our minds my be limited on what they can perceive, but they are also responsible for our ability to percieve. When we die, our brain decays, how would our consciousness remain without the tool of our brain to let us perceive?

Rupert, I'm curious if this explanation is a simplification to avoid the complexities of explaining Dependent Origination? Also, from experience, we are only limited to 4 dimensions in our normal "state" of consciousness... If you have ever had an experience with an entheogen like DMT, for example, you will know with certainty that we can experience more than that. How do you reconcile this?

Fascinating Rupert! Isn't matter condensed energy shapshifting effortlessly to suit individual perceptions? As much as we like to think that the 5 senses working in its most efficient ways would make up a highly functional n alert mind, it is the most limited way, a low rung of the ladder in terms of human evolution. It makes us no more than super intelligent animals. My limited understanding says, to unveil the rest of it, the journey from human to divine one must annihilate the mind. As the mind withdraws its senses to a supermind state dissloving boundaries, the filtering of what is perceived through the senses also clears up...to a point that the image and the source_ point of projection become exactly the same. The state of pure presence when the time is NOW. Science utlizes the exact mental faculties to understand something that requires its very dissolution as the primary condition. How can the very obstacle be used as the primary mode to clear the path? Individual scientists may get breakthroughs but science as a whole will remain forever infatuated with the idea of consciousness constantly wanting to labtest and quantify it. Its like a dog chasing its own tail.

Since the atom is empty space, it can't be that perceiving arises from the apparent form. What appears as the body can't really have senses. So, all perceiving must be impersonal, and so, never localized. How could there be localization, if there is never a mind in matter? No personal mind or self has ever been found, and the body, made of atoms, is empty space. What feels localized, what seems localized, can't actually be localized, because there is no intelligent or living matter; no conscious body to be the reference point from which knowing and perceiving occur. Knowing, must then be, impersonal. Impersonal belief is seeing /knowing its own concepts. The one impersonal belief in objectivity posits countless imaginary knowers/perceivers, but these never become "localized". Where would "they" go? All data is in universal consciousness, and it is only believed that it goes "somewhere". Since there are only concepts or data, there aren't places where things show up. Space/time arises only from the belief in an imaginary self, from the belief in a reference point. There are never thinkers of thoughts. There are only the thoughts.

How come❓Since a lifeless thing cannot be self vibrant and cannot cause vibration on its own there's got to be a live something that is self vibrant and can cause vibration on its own. That's got to be the ultimate cause of all causes. SELF ALIVE AND SELF VIBRANT.

IT'S no wonder we have so many unanswered questions in this (reality) life. If we could comprehend some of the potential infinite possibilities that could occur, including EVILS, sufferings, and why WE took (miscreated) those detours then things would be much clearer. IN God, here, means to SEE more of the overall picture. Consciousness (PURE) cannot be blamed for our misdeeds any more than can the principle Of gravity --- or what is free will for?

Can we imagine (concept wise) a BEINGness (mind) actually experiencing EVERYTHING there is WHICH would be The ABSOLUTE or BOUNDLESSNESS (FOREVER) ITSELF? As AWARENESS. Whew!

The other night I watched a show narrated by David Attenborough in which they explored the use of color in nature. Some insects can see ultraviolet light and humans can also with the use of certain cameras. Also some sea creatures can perceive polarized light and humans can with certain cameras and of course sunglasses , I guess. So perhaps our limited minds may be able to perceive other detentions with the aid of technology. ??

The world is not observed, it is projected, it is not something that is "out there", I don't know how something so obvious is so difficult to understand.

It, you, didn't just, only come from the mind, as the mind is only one aspect. Yes it's the organizing aspect. All our formless natures, attributes, aspects, virtues, and potential play a part in the expressing and experiencing of Self. We move in descending and ascending ages or yugas of frequency spectrums, energetic bands of express able and experienceable frequencies and energies, all designed in a maturing evolution of Consciousness through these developing phases, and then onto new ones. We are also not alone in being this, obviously, throughout creation, but there is a model, models and patterns, improvements and intuition, models are the tried tested and true, that are managed and implemented by council's at their respective frequencies, we are this parts expression and experience, another part of you sits on the council, another part is in everything that's on, in and around your planet. There have been humans that successfully matured on Earth and moved to higher frequencies of service, and we have contact with some, and some not from Earth, and none that are where we are, I hear there's only one per galaxy at a time, and we have parents, as it were, not the same as here, but done in Love, they lost a battle long ago for this Soular system, star wars, gita's wars. It's his story, not hers, they're different views of same choices. We have forgotten, then assumed about our story, it's not one of climbing out of animal instincts into modern man as the modern mind of men have no recall and project their linearity. Our story has no beginning and no end, a person, world, sun, galaxy, youniverse does. Our parent race we the good guys from our perspective, traveling around creating species library planets in alignment with the plan of the Will of Life, so did the other who aligned with, all Life was theirs being its Creator, dominion and domination. Now it's been a while, at least 10 billion years, humans have been maturing its nature into harmony, and it reveals much if you can see it create itSelf, yet maintain its spontaneity, it's immensely glorious in its perfection. We have just left the lowest or darkest yuga age, farthest away from our galactic source in the 17, 18 hundreds, according to Shri Yuktaswar and the Holy Science, who is of a lineage of great masters.

It seems so wildly impossible to imagine that the people still willfully in a comatose state after a year of this insanity... will ever wake up. I don't know what to think any more... Sometimes I'm certain it's all a mass awakening happening at turtle-speed, and all is perfect; divine timing. Other times... watching zombies in masks, salivating with excitement over the mark of the beast... that's when I lose my ability to hold on to hope... (I also heard David icke speak in an interview about the coming of 6g and 7g! How will humanity survive that?)
