I have spent many years reading east and western philosophies and studied psychology. Many terms bandied about like the nature of mind and non duality are constantly discussed. Even though many great teachers have direct experience of these concepts they seem unable to create a dialogue which properly explains the mechanism of their experiences. They seem to know but lack the words. Even greats like Krishnamirti say “ you just need to be aware” But what does that mean? Rupert has power of speech and clarity which is rare. Who started all these gurus sitting with a flower arrangement on their right, each one having a rather simplistic set of ideas, which they repeat in numerous videos, with a lot of pregnant pauses, and soporific delivery? Spiritual masters have great vitality, they love life, are full of great compassion. They throw the moneylenders out of the temple. They have endlessly new streams of responses to people, based on the individual’s particular character and predicament. How would you feel about a doctor who handed out the same prescription to all the patients?

Hi, I know that you commented a year ago, but I thought I would respond with a suggestion for you. Look up a gentleman named Neville Goddard. You can find many of his lectures (he passed from this world in 1972), on a youtube channel called "100k Watt". Phenomenal man and he literally changed my life. Also, others on YT read his lectures and books. A few are Brian Scott from "Reality Revolution", Lila from "Nevillution" and another one who reads his books and lectures is Josiah Brandt. I have had all the same questions. You also would probably find a book called "Reality Transurfing" by a Russian physicist named, Vadim Zealand, extremely fascinating. It would be worth your time to check these out. And good luck with your journey. 😊

1. you are not your feelings, emotions and thoughts 2. whatever happens in the universe is the best for you 3.enlgihtened people have feelings and emotions too but the difference is how they see the thing. their level of consciousness determines how to see things.
@juanguirao3 жыл бұрын
You deal with emotions or feelings, perceived threats by placing your identity on awareness and not on the body or the brain which is subject to those emotions and perceived threats. If you manage to transfer your sense of identity to awareness these things lose power over you and you may experience enduring peace and happiness. The problem is most people really want to identify with their body, thoughts, and emotions, for various reasons, and then cannot find relief from the resulting suffering. Regarding the threat of violence, you can identify with awareness and still act appropriately to prevent the violence, but without the psychological suffering.

I had the same experience. As a kid. When i first heared of never ending consciousness, it never coming and leaving, the only experience i had for comparison was my fainting. Losing it. That forced me to search ahead and find why would many intelligent ppl claim that consciousness doesnt come and leave. I had to accept the fact that when ppl die the world goes on as if nothing happened. Babies are being born. Old folks die. We faint. Lose consciousness. The truth is brutal. When i fainted, everything vanished from consciousness. But there were ppl around still experiencing content in consciousness. They took care of me. I was rushed into hospital and after some time i came to. The content was back. So what is going on here budy, is saying, the consciousness that you experience through content is the same consciousness of the dude who died. If it so happens that with our death we vanish completely from consciousness as it is, no afterlife, no aftermath, the content still occurs through every other pair of eyes. If that is the case, and we cease to exist as individuals you could never ever be aware of it, losing consciousness is not a matter of content. There's nothing there to be aware of. But look around while you still in the game and see that consciousness is just one. A fenomenon. Not a being individual, but a platform for content. It is kind of brutal to say that a sweet little kitten is only a content, but hey, that's what we are. Content in consciousness. Then we say, hey i wanna be the consciousness. Yeah? Sure thing. There. You are now officially absolute darkness, total non existence, complete absense. You cant afford to say even I AM. You are pure unadulterated consciousness. There :) congrats! Brutal dose of humor. Lol Sorry for messing with you. I really am P.S. there is something very important to understand as well from there. And it is that what consciousness is causes existence. Its nature is such that it's presence causes content. They sort of perpetuate each other Ok bye :)

The mind doesnt exist, it is symbolic for what already IS and that is YOU which is your Creative Heart which IS awareness..By being yourself you can know all things and even yourself. That 'things' externally, ie a chair, are only known about IN awareness so he says they must be WITHIN awareness, not actually external. But what if awareness is just like a camera lens, taking in what actually exists externally. So rather than the chair being in awareness, the chair is external and awareness is just seeing it through its lens?

No. Rupert isn’t guessing. He’s speaking from direct experience, which is the point of the direct path or Zen, meditation, etc.. The difficulty for teachers is speaking to different levels of students, who respond differently to certain descriptions or explanations. If one watches a number of Rupert’s videos, one will see that he addresses that. As one example, he uses the words awareness or consciousness, but also uses the Zen term One Mind. But he also acknowledges that the ultimate is incomparable and that it’s beyond name or description.
